i'm watching pbs news hour.....and they were interviewing manchin (dem sen. WVa) and they were asking about cheeto threatening to cancel subsidies for ACA if congress doesn't pass a budget. and manchin said (paraphrase) that those subsidies are very important and if they got cut off, millions of people would loose their insurance because of the costs skyrocketing, and they (the dems) are completely willing to not pass the budget and shut down the gov't.

then they're interviewing the gop rep from WVa and he's going.....we need to at least get a continuing resolution to keep the gov't open and keep talking about this and work on it......i mean c'mon......let's be reasonable.

i'm going BWWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAHAAAAHAAA

how the fuck does that medicine taste, there.......asssssssshole. you mutherfuckers have been unreasonable for 8 fucking years. go fuck yourself.

The "Working Families Flexibility Act", or HR 1180, threatens overtime pay for all. The bill allows employers to offer paid time off in place of overtime pay.

Many people count on overtime pay to make up for stagnant wages, giving them a shot at more income to provide for their families.

I hope it passes. This will mean less loyalty from police and private security forces when the burning starts.

So the shitgibbon can’t have Trumpcare, or a trade war with China, or probably even his wall. What’s left to do? BLAME CANADA!

So in Trump’s first 100 days we’ve gone from a Simpsons episode to a South Park episode. So when he gets to the Kardashian era in six months it’s going to get really bonkers.

I think this whole Trump thing is on us. As a culture we've spent huge amounts of energy imagining--and enjoying as entertainment--fantasies of cartoon dystopian hellscapes that reality has bent to our will and given us what we clearly want.

It's surprising and rather fascinating how swiftly the pretense of reality and normalcy has simply ceased to matter on a profound and likely irreversible scale.

My brain hurts just considering it. It's like living in a Zach Snyder remake of an imaginary John Waters film.

The return of Smell-o-vision, perhaps?
