i would be very happy if that's all that happens.....especially with the SCOTUS front. but i ain't holding my breath.

It'll get worse. Especially the traffic patterns here in NYC. I'm just saying he's not going to accomplish much of what he's promised. The Republicans will indeed get some legislation through. I expect it to be challenged in court, in the same way Obama's legislation has been challenged.

As to Gore, Republican opposition would point to his divorce as an issue. It doesn't matter that Trump had three, he's on their "side".

Gore and Warren will also be attacked for being too old.

Martin O'Malley and Mark Warner are solid choices as far as the issues are concerned, and now that Hillary's basically out of the running for 2020, Warner could have a real shot. Tim Kaine's good choice too, but probably not dynamic enough for the troops to rally around. Cuomo's got some issues though.

Maybe Anthony Weiner...if you can grab pussies it doesn't seem to me that dick pics should be a big deal. Right?

IOKIYAR. See Vitter, David; Sanford, Mark; DesJarlais, Scott; Ensign, John; Haley, Nikki; et al.

No.

It is my assertion that just because you invite some leaders from the other side to meetings then ignore their concerns and THEN say "Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won.” in response to those people, you really haven't made a sincere attempt to find "common ground.

So when you start out with the bully pulpit and don't feel you need to actually do more than lip service, you haven't spent 8 years seeking common ground or reaching out.

6<8 and I'm conceding the 6 because this is tiresome.

Where'd you get that, dude, the Historical Fiction aisle? Because that's not what happened. Someone has sold you a bill of goods.

Well, on the plus side I guess we now get to see Trump's "secret plan" to defeat ISIS. Do you think he'll buy them out?

Yep, I always listen to a draft dodging, child rapist for political "facts" and inspiration.

Wait, was I referring to Nugent or Trump?? :embarrassed:
My favorite is where he pooped his pants to get out of the draft. He did do that, right? Thats not just some internet folklore?

I'm trying to understand how all of these folks who dodged their responsibilities in the 60's are such experts on patriotism today. Avoiding going to a war you don't believe in is one thing (if you've got principles you need to stand by them) but it always seems to me that it doesn't jive with the behaviors and statements of these folks later in life. It seems like we have a generation of Baby Boomer politicians who evaded military service in the Vietnam era who have no problem sending kids to their own version of Vietnam. And the ones who DID have service like McCain or Kerry have it eventually used to shit on them politically by someone.

I don't equate draft-dodging with lack of patriotism. But love of Russian Roulette is rarely a positive quality in world leaders.

It's from his own words in an interview with High Times magazine in 1977. In 2006 he said that he made it up. Sort of:

So he's either a draft dodger or a liar.
