Now that we're into a couple weeks of Corvfefe what have you been creating in the kitchen?

mrs jbj is making a haggis and chorizo lasagne just now and it smells amazing

I just started some chicken thighs marinating in a garam masala/yogurt sorta thing for tonight. I used a pack of garam masala that I found in the back of my cupboard, and it must have had a fairly high asafetida content because it's the fartiest marinade ever. We'll see.

Been dipping into our frozen foodsaver bagged stock of carnitas, brisket, ground beef and chicken lately.

I too have chicken thighs defrosting for dinner...sounds like we're doing fried chicken sandwiches

edit, over the past couple weeks:
Cornish pasties
Carnitas tamales
Smoked brisket
Pizza
Several loves of bread
Chili
ramen & udon style noodle bowls

what's that weird black thing in his videos? (sitting to the left of the foreman grill in that video)

I've also been rediscovering my love for a good tuna salad sandwich lately (not out of any post apocalyptic survivalist need, but because I genuinely dig em)

Oh hell yes. Love tuna salad sandwiches, always have. :thu:

Lately I have been getting decadent with the fancy tuna in a jar, but I’ll happily eat no-name tuna from a can if that’s what’s on hand.

A trip to spain several years ago was a revelation in terms of quality canned/jarred seafood!

Friend a work brought in cans from sportsman’s cannery in Seaview, Washington. It’s basically a circular chunk of tuna filet. So good. Their smoked tuna is incredible. You can call and order cases shipped to your door. https://m.facebook.com/pg/SportsmensCannery/
