Dig it! NGD!

So what you’re saying is, it depends, and simply having 3 barrels isn’t indicative of good tone. Thanks for agreeing with me!
I can hear a different between the brass three barrel and the stamped steel saddles, but I know it's the brass that is changing the tone. Personally I prefer the feel of the three barrel bridge to the six.

Actually, yes, I do agree with you. LOL You can get good tone with the modern bridge, just not the tone I'm personally looking for. :)

I haven't fallen down the rabbit hole of trying different saddle materials, yet... I might on the new purple Tele. LOL

I like the size of it, but I love my reverb.

Me too. The 15w model has reverb. I'll probably grab a

Did I mention the amp takes pedals very well?
I have a 25w Fender Frontman w/reverb that is great for clean tones. I am going to build an A/B/Y pedal so I can switch between crisp chimey cleans from the Frontman, smooth dirt from the MP5w, or both.

Tele's sound good through Fender SS amps, but I have fallen for a cheapo tube amp.

Amazing for the $

The Monoprice is going to be my next practice amp.

Gary,grab some pedals.
A reverb,chorus,and maybe a delay.
GAS has hit you already,go for it.
:twocents:

I have listened to a bunch of your songs,I think the pedals, and Tele would work great for you.

I do have a delay pedal, but don't want to fall into that rabbit hole.

It's just a matter of what I like. I like how an ashtray bridge feels in my hand and the zing that it adds to the bridge pickup if it's stamped steel. The brass bridges have a little more of a thud than a zing to my ear. The plate itself doesn't affect the neck pickup much but I also don't use the neck pickup much. LOL

I'm also not bothered by middle pickups.

For the longest time, the ashtray bridge is what kept me from playing a tele. When I was younger, my strumming was a bit more aggressive and I would wreck my hand on the bridge. Now, that I am old and more refined, I am fine with it

Oh, I've bled on my blue Tele's bridge. Some paper towels helped... the bridge.

As if there's only one modern bridge. :embarrassed:

The 6 saddle MIM is fine. Yes there’s a sound difference between bridges but it’s not a big enough deal to go switching them around unless your a tinkerer. I’d change the pickups to something more vintage sounding before I’d fool with the
bridge. A set of Wilde Keystones are $85, vintage 60s sound. Twin Blades only $125, the poor mans Bardens.
But Gary should feel no pressure from us geeks other than to just enjoy his fine new guitar!

I had Graphtec’s on a mim tele with ‘51 nocasters. It sounds awesome.

Gary try the delay along with and instead of the reverb. You can get some really nice subtle efffects between them once you get them dialed into the room. I usually keep my amp reverb on 2-3 with a soft slap back on the analog delay.

Also delay can sound better on its own without the reverb when things get up in stage volume with drummers and such.
