I'm not opposed to the modern bridge in and of itself. It just doesn't do twang the same way as the thinner stamped steel ashtray bridge. I have a cast brass ashtray bridge on one of my Teles and it doesn't sound the same as the proper stamped steel one.Very nice, Gary. I dig the strap.
Also, don’t let these traditionalists get to you, they hear with their eyes. You don’t need a 3 saddle bridge to get a true tele sound. The MIM modern bridge is perfectly cromulent and has better intonation.
LOL Not everybody does what I do, and that's fine. As long as you're happy.I seem to have been born without the tinker gene.

It's just a matter of what I like. I like how an ashtray bridge feels in my hand and the zing that it adds to the bridge pickup if it's stamped steel. The brass bridges have a little more of a thud than a zing to my ear. The plate itself doesn't affect the neck pickup much but I also don't use the neck pickup much. LOLuh huh.

I'm also not bothered by middle pickups.
I just finished playing with it plugged in; I have a 25 watt Fender Frontier (solid state) amp. I found I like it with a higher level of reverb; for some songs even a bit of overdrive. I'll have to try it through the Joyo amp pedal later. I do find the barre chords seem to sound better on it than my usual cowboy chords. I'll have to keep working with it.Very nice!
Now lets talk amps.
What shall yee be playing through?

I like the size of it, but I love my reverb.Tele's sound good through Fender SS amps, but I have fallen for a cheapo tube amp.

Amazing for the $
Partially. The modern bridges are thicker and stiffer, which does change things. But I agree with the composition thing. Like I said above, I have an ashtray that's nickel plated cast brass instead of stamped steel and it definitely sounds different. The bridge form factor doesn't add any zing, it's the metal it's made from.
Middle pickups are for strats. #fuqastrat.
