The Seahawks are the LAST team that should ever complain about referee calls, given their history in that regard.
Oh, that issue has gone both ways over the years. But regardless, if the O line and offense in general doesn't do a better job, hard to complain. D created Whiny boy Rodgers first interception in a while and blanked him in the first half, so i liked that. Offense, strip sack leading to a score and sputtering otherwise except some flashes, not good enough.

The Post hates Dan Snyder and took up the mantle to get the name changed. They did the survey. If it was does by Snyder or Allen, I would have ignored it, but the Post has no reason to fudge the results and if anything hurt their side of the argument.
This. The Post is quite biased in this matter, and the results were not in their favor.

Raiders are 1-0. We have found another excellent place kicker, and the D is doing better than I thought it would.

But KC looks scary good.

Morning after, frustrated with the Seahawks offensive line. How can it still be this bad? Has been an issue for a few years now. The D, despite the controversial penalty and ejection, played pretty well and blanked Rodgers in the first half, and held the team to 17 over all. The offense just needs to do a little more. the line was again porous, leading to a turnover that favored the Pack, and a general lack of ball control and productivity. Yes, I disagree with some calls, but the line has to do better or the team cannot put itself in a position to win effectively.

I thought so too, for a long time. Then the Post conducted a survey of Native Americans, and it turns out that most of them didn't really give a fuck. It still bugs me, but not to the extent that it once did.
I heard the Navajo told 'em all to shut up.
They do hold some weight in Tribal Nations.

Hoping the Raiders can have a good year, but even after the first game I am not sold on their defense outside of the D-Line (which promises to be excellent). Their Defensive Coordinator should have been fired last year and is effectively now on watch. It was good to see Lynch still has some gas left in the tank. I hope they use him sparingly this season and save him for a big push at the end of the season and (hopefully) the playoffs.

Of course KC put the entire AFC on notice that they are the team to beat this year, but I'm not convinced they are as good as they looked on Thursday. Time will tell.

KC went 12-4 last year with your Raiders. I think they are as good as they looked Thursday. After watching Andy Reid whip my team for a decade, I know he is a good coach. After watching how bad McNabb was when he went to my team, I have even more respect for him. I think Oakland and KC are the teams to beat in the AFC this year.

I'm pissed that they didn't air the Raider game here in SD, since the Chargers are no longer here (and playing on Monday anyway) and the Rams are on Fox (the network showing NFC games). I would've liked to have seen the game. As it was I only got to catch some highlights and read about the game online.

I know Andy Reid is the best coach in the AFC West and one of the better ones in the league. He always has problems winning the big ones though. I do think KC is probably the team to beat in the AFC, but a lot of the key people on their defense are a bit old and I'm not sure how well they do over a 16 game season. With Alex Smith at QB you know two things - he won't turn the ball over and he won't score you a lot of points. They win with great defense and serviceable offense. Maybe getting Mahomes has lit a fire under him, but this is probably his last year starting for KC either way. I think KC wins 10 - 12 games and loses in the playoffs. Again. And for the record, as big of a Raider fan that I am - this is not their year. They are weak at inside LB and in the secondary. Not a recipe to win the SB. Or even to go. They make the playoffs and win a game or two before bowing out.
