NFL 2017-18 Thread

I'm never optimistic about my Skins, but I like that they still have Kirk. If Pryor and Doctson can do a good job replacing Jackson and Garcon, they will be decent.

But no matter what, the Pats got crushed last night, so I won't have to listen to everyone going on and on about this is the year they have the perfect season. Is it bad of me to be happy that they got their asses kicked, at home, week 1?

WRT the Seahawks, I am still concerned about the offensive line. Also concerned a bit about focus, and durability of RW. Still love 'em, and expect them to be strong in the NFC west, but beyond that, it is wait and see.

LOVED the Chiefs trouncing of the Pats last night:grin: Alex Smith & Co are the new dominant force in the AFC. The crowd booing Goodell was icing on the cake. LOL talk about sour grapes.

I am cautiously optimistic about the Niners rebirth. I mean hell, it HAS to be better than the past few years, right? I think they have a very good chance against the Panthers on Sunday.

The Pack is playing at the same time as the niners Sunday, so I guess I'll have to watch the local team. That'll make my kids happy, but I sure wish I could see the Packers play...

I expect the Bears to be improved but, not superbowl bound by any means. Defense is looking a whole lot better. Running back Howard is a stud. Now we have Cohen, he is really fun to watch. As much as I love the running game, you need to pass some and, the Bears are starting the year with ZERO receivers. I don't think that will work very well. By the 4th game, fans will be booing Glenon, want Trubisky cuz he can make them catch the ball.

6-10.

That name really HAS to be changed. It's insulting, racist, and really has no place in a modern society.

I thought so too, for a long time. Then the Post conducted a survey of Native Americans, and it turns out that most of them didn't really give a fuck. It still bugs me, but not to the extent that it once did.

Unless they published the selection criteria for the sample, the exact questions asked, and a lot of other data I trust surveys about as much as I trust Kim Jung Un. After sitting through 15 credits of statistics in college, I have become extremely suspicious of all marketing, surveys, and polls.

The Post hates Dan Snyder and took up the mantle to get the name changed. They did the survey. If it was does by Snyder or Allen, I would have ignored it, but the Post has no reason to fudge the results and if anything hurt their side of the argument.
