If by that you mean that the refs in all the succeeding games allowed St. Louis to get away with any number of head hits against three Sharks players (Karlsson, Hertl, Pavs) you are correct. That one hand pass led to an utter inability of the NHL to call a head shot a head shot. I look forward to seeing Chara skate around the ice at the Garden with Pietrangelo's head dangling from his teeth...
 
Now the Sharks have the challenge of who they are going to sign and who won't sign with them again. Evander Kane got an awfully nice contract for a guy who historically can't be counted on when he is needed.

San Jose shouldn't have made it past Vegas - that was a F'd call. It doesn't matter that many say "they shouldn't have given up that many goals on that power play" when that power play should not have existed.

What about the Cody Eakin goal in the Dallas series?

Sharks over achieved like Hurricanes did in the East.

Aside from those playoff things that you may or may not agree with, they have major issues with signings.

Kane's contract puts Pavelski where? What about the other EK? I don't want him but there will be a big contract there. They have a couple of young guys who are UFA who will probably require reasonable contracts. Joe? Is he playing or retiring?
 
If you want to go on about Vegas, there never should have been a game 7. The fact is there was, and that prior to that incorrect call, SJ had done nothing in 4 power plays. I believe SJ was hyper motivated by the sight of Pavs bleeding on the ice, and likely would have scored those goals with or without a 5 min PP. You might disagree, whatever.

Lots of bad calls throughout the playoffs, some went our way, some didn't. It's over, get over it.

Yes, there will be some signing issues, and I believe that EK65 might go elsewhere if the money is right. I think a lot of that will hinge on whether he is healed from the groin issue or if that will linger into next season. Pavs isn't going anywhere IMHO, and neither is Thornton. I believe he would have retired if SJ won the cup, but otherwise he will be back. It will be interesting, but I don't foresee many changes to the roster unless some FA's decide to leave.

Oh I don't need to get over it...they are OUT and they didn'r deserve to be where they were so...

To say that they would have scored the goals anyway means that they should have scored twice as many with the power play.

yeah there are many poor calls but that one was an actual game changer. Games shouldn't be changed by calls that are wrong.

"Calls they didn't make" aren't calls. Therein lies the difference...stuff gets missed all of the time but when stuff is called, it had better be right.


Evander Kane...F he sucks. When the Sharks needed him, he came up with nothing. EK65 - same story. Sure it was an injury for EK65 but maybe he was still in 'not practice so much' mode and consequently his conditioning just wasn't where it should have been for a one time elite player.

So you agree that Blues fans need to STFU about the non call on the hand pass? Cool, I agree. Same with the Avs on the non called off side. Gotcha.
 
I dunno, I think the Bruins warranted vacillation. Feast or famine team.

The whole "Toronto almost won!!!!" narrative is silly - Games 1 and 5 of that series were so awful that there was viral video of Cassidy swearing at the team (not his style when he knows he's on camera).

Either way, the West has been revealed to be wiiiiiiiiiide open. The B's got lucky that their two toughest potential opponents ... lost. And in the nick of time, they found their game again.

Three parades in 9 months?

I agree because the 'yellow brick road', should have been out in the first round, choke champs of the NHL, loaded roster Sharks are done AGAIN.
