National Hockey League 2018-2019

The surprising thing about the Leafs/Bruins series was that it took the B's 7 to win it. Marner is a talent. Anyone would be happy to have him on their team. The Leafs could only win when they got great goaltending.

The Sharks game was bonkers...especially in the arena :grin: And especially with some very obnoxious (and hockey ignorant) fans nearby :P. I'll be honest, though I could not see at the time, I'm not sure it was a major though looking at the replays I do think it was a bit excessive. I think that's why the refs called it. But Vegas you are up 3-0 with 11 minutes to go. Given up 4 goals is really bad. Not all of it was on Fluery. After 4 PP of not being able to get the puck through, the Sharks got pucks to the net with good screens. A lot of that goes on the D. And Vegas had a 3-1 lead in the series. Their complaining afterwards about the call is whining...own up to the fact that you blew a 3-1 series lead and 3-0 game 7 lead in the 3rd

Hoping tonight's game is as exciting...well maybe not. On a potential tragic note apparently an older man collapsed during the OT and had CPR. The people I talked to that were close (we were not) were not confident that he made it :(

If by EK you mean Erik Karlsson, I have also seen nothing that would contradict that. I'm not sure to whom you are referring with the other EK. William Karlsson?
 
People can change...I just don't think Kane has. I like much of that team and they happened to pick up 2 players who I don't like.

The Caps are gone.

This year's first round has been the most shocking first round in my history of following NHL hockey. Absolutely unreal.

Has there ever been a year in which every single #1 seed lost in the first round? I do not remember ever seeing this before, but I'm old and if I may paraphrase Yogi Berra (or maybe Yogi Bear), my memory (like the past) ain't what it used to be...

B's series took 7 games because they took Game 1 and Game 5 as personal days. That kind of performance is not easily forgiven by Massholes, and we need to see that not happen against CBJ to forgive them.

The Canes/Caps game ... boggled my mind. What were those two teams playing for in the 2nd period? A $10 Subway coupon? The energy didn't pick up until the OT ... I'm sure not scared of the Canes, should we get that far. Then again: Game 1 and Game 5 vs. Toronto looked like a charity skills contest, so perhaps the second trend of this year's playoffs (the first being "LOL @ Your Regular Season Dominance") is "Play on and offs?"
