I think birds of prey are just about the only birds I like taking pictures of, not that I've ever got a good one

Managed to take my camera out to the park for the first time, not much doing though

I took 54 pictures of that eagle. I got maybe 6 worth looking at. The camera stopped a couple of times due to the buffer being full. I found mass quantities to be the secret.
Yep. My camera has a bird mode that takes 7 rapid fire shots in under a second. It's a great way to get a few good pics of something that won't sit still.

Went for a walk on the local golfcourse, found a huge patch of wild garlic and few flowered leeks. So picked a couple of bag fulls and will lacto ferment them

Took the afternoon off yesterday and went for a hike along part of the Appalachian Trail to a lookout called Weverton Cliffs that overlooks the Potomac.

As we were sitting there, a bald eagle flew by just under us. I wasn't quick enough to capture it, but it was quite a sight. Then we took a short drive to the War Correspondents Memorial. An odd structure in the middle of nowhere. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_War_Correspondents_Memorial

Picked up two lenses cheap on ebay for my D7100 - as my sigma 18-50 decided not to work with it I decided to get Nikon 18-70. focuses really fast and is quite a useful range and a bit faster than the kit lens. Still a budget lens but should do for now

Also go an old 80-200mm F4.5 N AI., Manual only but my word is it built like a tank and easy to use too. Paid £25 delivered for it, still a great lens and apparently was Nikons top pro zoom lens when it was made 40 years ago. Was in good condition too

Not had much of a chance to use them yet though, lockdown is supposed to ease a bit end of the week so maybe then.
