MWGL Photography thread II ( Continued)

How lame am i? I keep looking and I can't find the hot pixel.

I've got gas for a D810. I've launched what will probably be a long search for one. I have a number in my head and will not go over my number. It's a very low number for that camera but I will prevail.

Can only see it when pixel peeking on the original image, I don't think it shows up in those

Good luck on your quest:headbang:

My wife made me take this picture. If you shoot macro at 150-300 it's weird to be shooting 10 feet from your subject.

Yeah, I think so. It doesn't say DX on it but it also doesn't say FX. Oh well, it will go on the D7100 and I guess I'll take the 7100 on days when I only want to haul 1 lens.

That Tamron lens is for a crop sensor camera. Your D810 has a setting to change it to crop. DX and FX designations are Nikon trademarks.

I've seen their boxcars but this is the first picture I've seen of an engine.

A lot of these engines are all secondhand. The railroad leaves them basically as bought untill it comes time for their first trip to the shops. They bought a small group from NS too, and they were in sad shape. Those are destined for parts and eventual scrapping. The scheme is fairly old though, I can remember seeing it in 2013.

Still shouldn't be going more than 5 miles from home at the moment according to the rules, so local it is. Lots of wanky grafitti on bells bridge for some reason. I presume students are bored

They're probably rattling at not being able to scribble their pish in the bogs at Mono or the Buff Club...

What kind of snake is that? We get adders and grass snakes here, I've seen one adder and that's it

Was hoping for a decent sunset at this windfarm but it clouded over. It's fairly elevated so you get a decent view to mountains about 60 miles away

This little hill was the site of a pre-historic fort. Apparently there are some earthworks remaining of the earth wall
