MWGL Photography thread II ( Continued)

I ended up getting a Smooth 4 gimbal, moment case and lenses, and a beast grip. For now I'll shoot with those on my Note 9 while I save up for a proper mirrorless deal. Still can't decide on that front. I'm sure something will come out that is a must have.

We've had no snow this winter pretty much. February was two and a half times as wet as it normally is, so you can imagine how wet it was  .

After wondering whether or not to shell out for a much better camera I decided to go with a second hand D7100 to upgrade my D3200 as a stop gap. It should arrive today, now I'm going to look into what older lenses to go with that will work with the internal focus motor that might also be useful If I ever decide to go with a full frame camera. have to satisfy some GAS

Yes it was that discussion on this thread that made get this one. Ive just found out though that one of the sigma lenses i have doesnt autofocus with it, I'll either have to roll back the firmware on the camera or just get a new lens/lenses. It doesnt have VR so i might take the opportunity to get one that does, or get an older prime nikon lens or two with no focus motors in them as an alternative, they might be quicker and sharper

I have a Nikon 70-300 that it doesn't even recognize being on the camera. That was the only issue though. All my other Nikon and Tameron lens work just fine.

Yeah I'm considering just getting that too! Not sure how much I'd miss the rest of the range. Or the 35mm f2 that works on FX cameras fine too,

Currently have
sigma 10-20
tamron 70-300
helios 81N - 50mm f2
jupiter 11 - 135mm f4

so a nice quick 35mm prime might be the best bet to replace the 18-50mm sigma (RIP)

Just been trying the camera with the two russian manual focus lenses I have, they are much easier to focus than on the d3200 too which is nice.

Just picked up Luminar 4 so I can get into a bit of editing. Really liking it so far. Plenty of sliders to mess around with without confusing a dunce like me.

Never saw this Heron coming. Caught it out of the corner of my eye and got on it as quick as I could. Spring must be here the migratory birds are showing up.
