MWGL Photography thread II ( Continued)

The lake Monday afternoon. The one and only good picture from the new D5200. It's going back tomorrow. Shutter only works once out of every 20 or so times. Sometimes the view finder is dark. Throws up a wrong battery message sometimes even though it's the right battery. Tells you the battery is dead, take it out and put it back in and it will say, full charge. As worthless as my old one. The search is on for a 7100.

Hopefully you will have no problem returning it!

I won't be buying a new camera for a while now, went to the falls of clyde (the irony) yesterday and managed to slip and dislocate my knee as well as break my fibula.:thwap: so annoying.

My wife had a bad Nikon experience about ten years ago that turned us off to the brand. It's a shame, too, because my Nikon F2 and FM were absolute bricks back in the film-and-darkroom salad days of my youth.

I was driving along South Lake and I saw THE cabin in the mountains shot. The light was perfect so I cut over into one of those parking areas (where cabins used to be) jumped out and grabbed the shot.

We're expecting to move back to Madison when I retire (probably within a year or two), and I'm going to be hitting the backroads hard! :)
