My wife worked in ICUs and has always said I need to have $2m in life insurance or no motorcycle. Believe it or not, I’ve never driven a motorcycle in my life - I guess that’s something I just sort of skipped!

Finally, I got to ride to work this morning! Between all the snow and rain, I've been suffering from PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) for too long.

Have you seen the latest gen Rebel? I think they've done a pretty nice job on 'em and they look pretty good in person.

Finally, I got to ride to work this morning! Between all the snow and rain, I've been suffering from PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) for too long.

Today is going to be the only day this week with out steady rain. Temp is hovering in the mid-high 30s though for most of the day. It's tempting.

No, I haven't. I have been sort of lusting after the new Goldwings, though.

Just looked at the new Rebels. I'm really surprised. From what I can see, everyone wants cruiser style bikes, and here Honda goes and makes the Rebel a sport-adventure bike. I guess their crystal ball says the cruiser craze is coming to an end.

I think they are taking a page from the Yamaha bolt play book ....neo bobber/custom style cruisers

It looks like that would be titled as a motorcycle and require a MC endorsement. With a top speed of only 65 mph, I don't think I'd be too keen to take it on any road with a speed limit over 45....which yeah, makes a scooter that doesn't require a MC endorsement and be more economical to run a pretty attractive alternative.

Unless you count a little Honda 50 dirt bike or a Vespa, I haven't either.

I left my rural home one Saturday morning on a bike that looked like the top pic.

My bike returned home as seen in the bottom pic while I changed my mailing address to the local ICU.

I had a Black Rebel 250 from the original 86-87 run. I loved the shit out of that little bike. It didn't like freeways, but it did pretty well. Maybe your wife's is a bit tired. I would love one of the original 450 models, but they're like hen's teeth.
