I'm a little overwhelmed this morning. I have to retake a test in my theory class because so much of the class failed so badly that they won't pass the semester without a second chance. I'd let them hang myself (I did just fine the first time around) but those are the breaks. Most of my professors are cramming in last minute tests before finals. Plus with next weeks "performance week" coming up, juries, piano final, American Character class final, gigs, in the middle of refinancing our house AND having two contractors giving estimates for year end home repairs as well as some other family drama that is not for the forum I feel a bit in the weeds. This would have been a lot easier when I was 19 years old.
It feels that way but I've gotta get it done and I need to crush it. I'll survive. I just want to complain for a minute.

Are you the upper or the lower "Oo---------------------" or am I not getting this at all?
I am almost always the Lower voice on the bass clef. Sometimes they have me do higher parts though.

The teacher told us to "wear what you would wear to moms house for Easter". This was the first time I saw one kid wearing actual shoes all semester.
I should have brought my Les Paul. The Epiphone didn't make me very happy and there are some strange balance things that happen in different parts of the fretboard.
I did shoot a little video with my phone on the music stand. I'm not really happy with the ensemble playing so I'm not sharing any of it but here are a few solos:

Some good playing there, but I could hear the inconsistency on the neck...when you went to the high E above the 5th fret it pussied out pretty bad...
I was walking through Alto Music a few weeks ago and the had the twin brother if that guitar for 400.00 used...I almost grabbed on the "if it's good enough for Mark" rationale...glad now I resisted...

Yeah. I can't afford to replace mine properly so I'm living with it. I don't mind practicing on it acoustically because it plays nice but it's just not that great of an instrument. My LP sounds better.
