The $1400 blower fan died last week, 3 weeks after the AC's mfg warranty ended. For a workaround, I have an industrial fan pushing air into the AC intake, which helps maintain a 79 to 82 degree average. Mrs. T lost her job last month, so this isn't going to get fixed any time soon. I hope the tropical rains help for the next few days.

mojo..if it makes you feel better I keep my AC set at 84 24/7 ( i run two ceiling fans and also 2 floor fans as well ) which sounds hot but when it's over 100 everyday outside with a mean desert sun then 84 is relief and it doesn't come with the massive bills. My biggest electric bill ever was about 223last July and this 1950 place has no insulation ( older homes here were just brick construction)

It’s been in the seventies lately but it’s going to slowly ramp up to the nineties next week. I don’t mind the heat—a dry heat really doesn’t seem hot compared to humid east coast summers—but I still don’t go out because I can’t tolerate the Colorado sun. I used to think that we’d move to Denver once the kids graduated from the Boulder public schools but the longer I live here the more I think moving somewhere cloudy and rainy would be preferable. Like Ireland.
