The thermometer this came from must be up in the mountains because it’s 99° in my neighborhood and 100° in town. And I need to go get groceries.

Raining cats and dogs, typical Danish misery, and it's.. [converts to °F] about 75-ish. So not what I'd call a heat, and certainly not a dry one.

been in the mid 80s here lately, gets kinda cool at night which is nice to turn off the ac and open the windows. it was really dry late spring and early summer but we have been getting rain the last couple of weeks which is nice too.

We haven't been below 90 in daylight in about 3 to 4 weeks. We get afternoon and evening storms because Florida but it doesn't cool it down much. I think we've been about 78 - 80 overnight most nights. Surprisingly the humidity is not as bad as could be expected for this time of year.

I was in my office after lunch and thought someone turned the lights off.

Then I realized that the sky had gotten so dark in about 10 minutes that the street lights were turning on in the parking lot. :embarrassed:

North AL/Tenn Valley:
Right now its 92 w heat index around 96. Some light cloud cover from the to time but mostly sunny. Typical July weather. Possibly a bit more rain than usual overall so far this summer, so far we've avoid a drought.
The heat dome is supposed to move over us next week bumping us up closer to 100 deg. Thats when the grass will start getting crunchy and we will prob have some no burn orders issued because the forecast is not showing much chance of thunderstorms.
But thats pretty normal for August, which is normally our hottest month.

We tied our record for consecutive days over 100 at 39 on Sunday and they are showing (maybe) 99 on this Sunday but otherwise back to the 100's. so we are completely shattering that record BUT our record for 100 degree or more days for the year was a few years back where we had 110 day over 100. We also set a record for us of over 110 degree days which was 9 before but now I think we have had 14 or 15 days this year at 110 or more.

Phoenix is complely fucking off the charts though. They are at 31 day s in a row of 110 or higher and they are currently at about 14 of 15 of 115 or more they also set overnight low records because they haven't dropped below 90 since June

I'm up in the mountains visiting my mom and it's highs around 90 and a 'feels like' a couple of degrees higher, which is noticeably nicer than highs in the mid/upper 90s and 'feels like' in the triple digits at home in the swampy flatlands. 90 degrees and 50% humidity feels crisp and refreshing. (But all the locals here are griping about the heat)
