How The Hell Did They Screw Up The Muppets So Badly?

I think the show is pretty funny. And I still laugh at the old show from the 70's. I think some people need to lighten up.

i was never much of a fan of the original muppet's show to begin with. i've seen maybe 15 minutes total of this version and i'm still not a fan. probably mostly due to the fact that i want to shoot piggy every time i hear her voice.

now, bugs bunny and company.....THAT was some funny shit.
 
I missed the pilot, but I've been keeping up with the few episodes since then. It's kind of a muppets version of 30 Rock, which was a great show. It's not my favorite show on now, but I've been enjoying it.
 
I watched an episode because Mrs. Roach had it on (which was weird but whatever). It was mildly amusing. The thing that got me, if you just go by the dialogue you don't even know it is the muppets, it could be any sitcom.
 
It is muppet season to me, where I recall times of childhood, and Muppet Christmas specials. I tried out the new show and thought it was ok, but not really the characters I recall. And not enough to make me choose to take time to watch.

I will just stick with the old stuff once in a while.

 
I've been digging the show more and more. Pepe the Prawn, Rizzo the Rat, and Animal are by far my favorite characters. They're like Creed from The Office. They don't say a lot, but every line is gold.
