Just 2 more. I have a bass, 6 string acoustic, 6 string electric, and I NEED a 12 string acoustic and another 6 string electric with P90s. Then I'll be done. I'm also a terrible liar.

Honestly, push comes to shove, I can do everything I need to do in terms of gigs and writing and recording with one electric, one acoustic, and one bass. I currently have a few more than that...2 electric 6 strings, one electric 12, a bass, one dread, one cheapo parlor guitar, a uke, and a lap steel.
There’s a couple other things I still technically own that are on semi-permanent loan to friends. If I were to get them back, I’d probably just sell them and get another electric for mere shits and giggles.

I've gone thru buying sprees over the decades...more than once. I always kinda settle down with about 7. Couple of strats, tele, some kind of Les Paul thingee or two, Steel string and classical and a semi hollow electric. If I can't get it done with those I can't get it done.

My wife realized just last night the absurd number of guitars I own when she came into my new studio build and started counting.
"Oh my god! You have TWELVE guitars in here!"
"Eleven guitars. One bass. At least that you can see anyways. All of those cases are full too."
"Holy shit!"

"What about all the cases in the other room?"
"Yeah, most of those are full too, plus the five or six over at Joe's house."
