Hockey fans - thoughts on the playoffs?

I never tune out hockey. Doesn't matter to me who's in or out...

The only thing that changes for me is I get my Super sports package disconnected,(did so yesterday), until regular season hockey starts again in the fall..

The sports package only shows MLB and NFL games all summer, and you know...

I need to start paying more attention to hockey. But I do not have TV at home so I don't watch any sports at all for the most part.

Yes Sir....I'll start off with the Ott-Mtl game and finish with Cal-Van..

Bring it...It's my favorite television time of the year.........

The Isles-Caps series should be good too...

Montreal game is a fun one to watch.

Thoughts on the Subban penalty? That was a wicked slash.

Habs-Sens game was a fun one. Habs were better over longer stretches I would say. The slash was a penalty and by the letter of the rule was called right. Whether it warrants a suspension will depend on what team you cheer for. I think not because I've seen a lot worse get only 2 minutes but we'll see

Hawks-Preds was another good one. You could have made a ton of $$ if you bet someone Nashville would score 3 in the first and lose I think

I didn't see much of the Van-Calgary game but wow Calgary

This thread is lagging a bit but the mistake the Sens made was not holding true to their word on putting in Chris Neil...

They fucked up....

Nice to see Sid score two goals tonight....Pens tie up the series.......

Nice OT win by the Isles. Suck it, Ovi!

Ovi is my fav player and one of the best scorers of all time but I have been respectful of the Isles since last summer when they quietly put together the final few pieces of this team. Nobody even took notice until they were in and out of 1st place this year. Solid roster with some stars and many players making up a 'supporting cast'.

I don't think either the Caps or the Isles are consistent enough to go deep into the playoffs but I thought it was odd that many picked the Caps to win the series...the NYI just don't get the respect that they deserve for the team and depth that they have. Halak hasn't been as consistent as I think he needs to be for them to reach the next level IMO.

IMO,the team to watch are the Isles...

I was very impressed at the gritty effort from the Pens lastnight..BUT....

The Islanders beat the Pens most times this year...

Still too early.......

It really feels strange to say that, but I actually did say that the other day. The Islanders are actually doing well this year. It's kinda shocking to think that the Fishsticks might have a chance at the cup.

My card for this round: The gortons fishermen/Rangers/Habs/TB/Chicago/Blues
Ana/Jets - eh? I'd rather the Jets but haven't seen enough of either team
'nucks/flames - same

Here comes game 3 of Habs/Sens - should be a good one. I really thought the Sens effort did not come through with the final scores of the first two games. Switching goalies now is an interesting move to get the team fired up. Going down 3-0 can't be an option, so it should be a good game.

Odd decision to change goalies. Yes the Hamburglar lost both games but certain in the second not for lack of effort (39 saves). A change is risk IMO. He's the guy that got them to the playoffs. Chicago is in the drivers seat with Weber out and it showed today. There however a change was needed, Crawford was not good in either of the 1st two games.
