In 2 1/2 weeks I'm starting my vacation :embarrassed:
A few weeks of not getting up at 5 in the morning should kick all kinds of arse.

Well in 3 and a half weeks I'm starting unemployment so I only need to get out of my wankpit to sign on and go to the pub :embarrassed:

Wish me luck boys, interview with a studio I've been a fanboi of since before I even started design.

Tomorrow in London again :embarrassed:

Tell you the truth, I'm absolutely fucking bricking it :embarrassed:

Good luck Abrasion!!!

Morning, all!

Spent last night trying to fix my parents-in-law's HUGE fridge. One of them big American things. I (think I) pinpointed the problem, but didn't have the replacement part. The official guy came round today and confirmed my diagnosis, so as least I get to look smart.

Smart or big headed? A fine line divides the two.

Id love one of those big fridges with the ice maker thing on the front. You can even get tv's on the front which is s bit shit as you cant move them around.

Smart, smart! Big-headed would be if I went around on, like, web forums saying how great I was for diagnosing the problem correctly. Erm...

1 day till the weekend and thank fuck. This weather is killing me now. You're only ever outside for a few minutes at a time but it just drains the energy out of you.

Good luck Abrasion.

Any of you UK chaps know anyone or companies that paint guitar bodies for a reasonable price? I'm looking at a jazzmaster body in metallic orange from a company in spain but these guys charge £125 for the spray job alone which is about as much as the body itself costs :s

if i'm buying a cheap body no probs, if I'm spending £150 i'm going to let someone with the proper gear do it.

I've "refinished" a guitar before which basically entailed taking all the hardware off and blasting it with a few tins of spray paint bought out of an art supply shop. From a distance it actually looks pretty good but up close there's runs and blotches.

I might try and get a hold of a cheap tele or thinline body and paint it myself properly. it'd definitely be a whole lot cheaper. even copied jazzmaster parts = way expensive :(

Aw, just got in email, turns out I didn't get the position one of the meetings last Friday was for.

That's a bugger, because despite being an internship, it paid an actual wage :embarrassed::embarrassed:

Competition was crazy for that one spot though. They had about 75 applicants, and I was one of only 9 that they ended up meeting with

Oh well, it's 99% certain I'll be getting a spot with my favourite fucking studio in the world, so that rather softens the blow :embarrassed:
