So I sent out a bunch of mailers (fancy big business card, pretty much) to a bunch of design studios earlier this week. For shits and giggles, I thought I'd send one to this fucking amazing studio that I've been an arse-bandit for for years.

Someone from there just emailed me, turns out they loved the mailer, checked out my website, were impressed and want to meet me next week to chat about an internship :eek::eek:


I'm not one to ask for mojo, but this is like...my absolute fucking dream studio to work with, so any well-wishing would be greatly appreciated :embarrassed:

Ive applied for a few jobs in the Emirates and Qatar this week but since I'm booked up for Oktoberfest and want to go to Japan to work in 2011 I kind of hope nothing comes of them :grin:
 
Just got back from huge_jnr's (and the rest of the school of art & design) degree show. Quite a lot of the stuff that we saw was impressive. I wasn't too impressed with the photography; I am sure that I could put together a better project than most that I saw; but I'd be the first to admit that I'd struggle to write such impressive bullshit to go with it though,

:grin: I did a week's work as an art supply teacher shortly before coming out here and it was a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet gig.

It was in the school i had been working at so in addition to all the kids going wtf I thought he was the history dude I got to bounce around talking absolute pish for a week.

I must say, as yeasty (is that even a word?) as my last brew of wine has turned out to be, I think it's my strongest yet. I've had 2 andf a half little glasses and I'm feeling pretty well oiled :grin:

I've only tried to make alcohol once at uni, it didn't go so well. Tasted absolutely rank, but it seemed to get us pissed quite easily so I suppose it can't be sniffed at :embarrassed:

I'm almost a legend on the compound for my brewing prowess :embarrassed:

One of my pals came round a few weeks ago to give me some films and asked if I had any booze.

I told him there was some in the fridge if he wanted to get his booze on and he got me into all sorts of shit with my mum (who was on MSN) when he opened the door and started howling when he found 10 gallons of the finest jeddah gin there :embarrassed:

Irishstu tied one on = getting ludicrously fucked up on the homebrew. I'm picking up all sorts of Americanisms out here.

Luckilly enough I've managed to work off the headache and since I don't have enough wine for everyone, I'm burning off a few cd's and I'm going to go and get fucked up listening to explosions in the sky in dolby 5.0 surround whilst getting drunk before the game kicks off :grin:
 
Went for another ride at Cannock today. Much better conditions this time, it rained last night which means all the ground was solid and grippy - no dust :) Also wasn't too hot. Here's a piccy from the top of my favourite descent :love:
