Rendering is a right cunt, it slows my computer right down as well so I can't get on with any other work :mad:

Mine includes dissertation + literature review + critical evaluation( i will end up around 20,000 words, but most people have around 13,000) + a 'product' (20 second fully CG animation made from different render passes composited in After Effects). Thank god my iMac has quite reasonable specs so i am able to let Maya render and do other stuff at the same time.

well, i am very worried rendering may not be finished in time, so i am thinking of an alternative. Maybe rendering a number of interesting shots (say about 20 or so) to create an interactive mini-graphic novel. I hope i can reach my supervisor to see if he accepts this solution. In the end, i think this will be more interesting than a 20 second video where you just get a glance of a cityscape and a character. It would save me lots of time :embarrassed:
 
Hot diggity, great night for me. Met a long-lost relative of mine who, it turns out, is a guitar-loving Beatles fan just like me! Had dinner at his place, where he had a Fender Deluxe Reverb in near-mint condition, an amp he'd owned since he bought it new in 1970. Played it using his Deluxe Fender Strat, also a lovely piece of gear.
 
Well this has been a properly crappy day. :mad:

Woke up early and after getting up almost fell to the floor being unbelievably dizzy.
Since then I've spent the entire day either on the couch freezing/sleeping or in the bathroom worshipping the porcelaine god.
It appears I've caught some virus or something.
Spent as fuck right now, and will definitely not be going to work tomorrow. :(

Just had a couple of sammiches, hopefully they'll stay inside...:embarrassed:

Just perfect. I'd planned to do a bunch of recording and stuff today, but that literally went down the shitter. :mad:

Ah well...hopefully things will be a bit better tomorrow...

I decided to follow the well trodden trail from HC to here and to tell you all that someone left the light on when they left. Its just not on, im not made of money you know!

Serously though, none of you even said goodbye (sniff). Also, just so you know theres now a thread over at HC (by strings) where you can post about any old email registration problems and he'll reset it or something so that you get your old details and post count back.
Its a bit quiet over there but im hoping things will pick up. it'd be a crime to let the Euro thread die!

ill hang aound here too now though.

Is it true Mrk comes round and beats you if you swear? Does that include British swearing like wanker and bollocks, or bollocks you wanker? etc?
 
Dammit. I just tried to make it bigger (steady....) but it gets all superpixelated and unreadable.

Hmm, oh well. Maybe it'll make me come across as all moody and mysterious. Or something like that.
