Good lord, am I looking forward to the 24th. You see, my family all goes to this thing about spinning and weaving and shit one Saturday every month or so... bunch of old fogies sitting around talking about wool and spinning wheels and stuff. My mum and sister go to this meeting thing, and dad has to take them - leaving me home alone for the entire day :grin:

Just the right time to deploy my Egg Basket Bacon Supreme - with a cup of tea, of course :grin::grin::grin:

My next term shouldn't be too bad as all the coursework is out of the way, just got a bit of final project stuff to do and 3 exams. Last term was bloody stressful toward the end so hopefully this will be a bit more relaxed.

I am so comprehensibly behind, it's not even funny :embarrassed:

There's a book design deadline in a wekk, that I haven't even read the brief to yet. I'm supposed to be identifying studios to hit up for placements, I'm bogged down in a magazine design, with a possible going concern magazine on the side, some album graphics for a band starting to get some big labels sniffing, possibly a small company website, and some self-promotional stuff to do.

And that's before I even consider properly finishing all the projects I've done up until now :cry:
 
The magazine and website have just landed in my lap. I could have turned them down, but I didn't wanna, and one or both of them may well not end up coming to anything :embarrassed:

It's the magazine I'm putting together at Uni that's the sticking point. My plan was to blitz through it for the first few days of easter, then start the book design in plenty of time. :cry:

Still nothing to report, however I did acquire one choc-ice, one chocolate Mini Milk (FTW), and one rocket lolly :grin:

I decided to just make my Strat a cheap beater, rather than "the" big project. A little bit too much work.

I may email the Custom Shop, to see how much a Strat like the one I'm striving for would set me back... :grin:

The cheapest Custom Shop Strat I've seen in the UK was £1700...:eek:..I've tried out a few and wasn't overly impressed :shrug:
 
I'm 500 words in to writing up my project testing and I'm already giving up the will to live :facepalm: I'm so glad I didn't do a proper academic course, I can't write for shit :embarrassed:

Mojo. I have to do a lot of writing papers in my job and it's my least favourite part. :cry:
 
hi guys...just back from an night of heavy drinking. Gonna hit the showers (not literally of course :embarrassed: ) and then it's back to finishing my dissertation. I am 17,500 words in and the end is still not in sight :(

and the computer has been rendering 3d images for a day. Current tally: 20 frames. Still 220 to go :eek: I hope it will be finished before the hand-in date :embarrassed:
 
17,500 words? Bloody hell, ours only has to be 4,000-7,000 + a "product" (which in my case is just a range of images using different compositing techniques/render passes). Quite easy in comparison :embarrassed:

Rendering is a right cunt, it slows my computer right down as well so I can't get on with any other work :mad:
