Guitars in 2016 - What are your desires?

Highly unlikely I will buy any new guitars this year. I need to focus on playing the ones I currently have and create some more free time in order to do so.

Not sure how it's all going to pan out, but I have a few things in the works.

1 in final assembly with Doug Kauer.
1 That I'm speccing out with Mike Shiskov.
1 That I'm putting a down payment on with Neal Moser (tax time).
Then something I'm playing with mentally that will end up with Doug.

Then if I flip a couple, I'm thinking a Pink EBMM Al Lee.

AMP wise, I'm taken with the Panama Shaman line, but dunno yet.

Could change tomorrow, or whenever.

(I don't have kids. So I get to play with my discretionary funds a little more.)

I have a PRS SE Semi hollow incoming. This will determine who gets thinned from the herd.
I don't forsee another purchase anytime soon.
Of course, I never do ..

Either new electronics for my cheap Cort Action V bass, or a new bass w/better electronics & hardware (Cort tuners, for example can be terrible quality).

Thing is that my Cort Action V sweatshop bass happens to have a very tight low b string, & even tone all over the neck- so I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade some parts, & make it more gig worthy. It has a "cheap" feel to it somehow- as if it' all going to rattle itself to pieces at any moment, but it sounds good- even high end bass don't always have a tight low B, although they are a joy to play nontheless.

Also I've wanted a hollowbody or a very resonant semi-hollow for years now, I just may get one if I can find one that's good quality. I bought absolutely NOTHING last year.

Don't need anything.

On the other hand, I want an American/Japan/nice MiM Strat with good noiseless pickups. And I'd also like to replace the bridge pickup on my Epi 339 (maybe both, since the labor costs just about the same as replacing one pickup) with something a little fuller, but it's not necessary.

And another small, low wattage amp head or two.

I'm planning to sell my Edwards Les Paul and my MiM Strat and use the money to build a Warmoth exactly the way I want it...

You sound like a certain forumite with a preference for purple

Edit: beaten to it :embarrassed:

I am keeping my eyes open for a Gretsch Country Gentleman 6122-1962 (the George Harrison model) to complete my Hofner 500/1 and Ric 325 "Beatles on Sullivan" collection. Other than that I'm gonna try to show some restraint this year.
I should have some news regarding this come Friday if fedex is to be believed.

Not really for me. I have too many guitars as it is! Throw in the cost of refretting them, to deal with my nickel allergy, and that makes me think twice about getting any more guitars. Even then, it would have to be a case of one is sold, if another one is bought. About the only guitars I'd remotely consider buying outright at this time, would be a Rosewood Telecaster (I still regret chickening out [due to me being a cash strapped college student] on that killer sounding one, I was going to buy, at the very last minute in 1986) if the price was a steal, a Ric 360W (again, at a price that's a steal), and even more remotely, an Ibanez AFJ 957, 7-string hollowbody.

Might get something if I find a deal I can't pass up, but probably no new guitars this year.

Need a new amp before I do anything else, but I am going to race mountain bikes this year so my money will probably go there.

The only guitar related thing I got going is the aluminum neck project I am working on. There is a demand for these things and only a couple of people are producing them.
