Guitars in 2016 - What are your desires?

Modern Saint

Starve your Fear, Feed your Dream!
So I almost made it through 2015 without buying one guitar. September came around and my wife helped me to get my '64 Gretsch Clipper. Not a week later it was the Gibson SG and this past December the Gibson GT LP. Let's how long I can go in 2016 to not purchase another guitar.

Fortunate for me my list is short...

1) Rickenbacker 620/12 Fireglo
2) Rickenbacker 350 Jetglo
3) Harmony Stratotone

Best part is that I only want them used.

My list:

* Something LP-ish already in the works :facepalm:
* Kit guitar that needs finishing and a bit of tweaking,
* Maybe a G&L Tribute Legacy,
* Maybe something Gretschy...

would love: gibson LPC, black with nickel hardware

more realistically: reverend sensei ra

I have the parts ordered for a bastardized Muiscmaster. Hopefully they arrive soon. I also have a Fender Lead body that I am planning on making a baritone out of.

I'm thinking of re-finishing my SX strat in Calypso Green metallic with a parchment pickguard. Maybe with matching headstock.

If I was to buy a guitar it would be this Harley Benton PRS type in black with natural binding that I played and loved. I don't feela need for a guitar though, since I have too many to love equally as it is.

Most likely nothing, but I would love to try out a Gibson J45 and the Epiphone Masterbuilt AJ45 ME. Chances are I would decide what I have is good enough. :grin:

The Godin A6 Ultra is the only thing still on the wish (with true intent to acquire) list. I'm guessing in 2017 if things go right.

No plans to buy more. Set with what I have but may do a couple mods by adding mini switches to all my strats to use the neck pickup with the bridge pick up. Had that on one but took it out when I changed pick guards and now I miss it.

Depends. I was planning on another electric because I only have one, but seeing that I am no longer in a band I don't need a backup as badly.

Two things I would like in 2016 - one really nice acoustic and an octave mandolin. I seriously doubt I will have the cash because any acoustic will run probably at least $1400.00.

So probably nothing.

I am keeping my eyes open for a Gretsch Country Gentleman 6122-1962 (the George Harrison model) to complete my Hofner 500/1 and Ric 325 "Beatles on Sullivan" collection. Other than that I'm gonna try to show some restraint this year.

Restring all my guitars, waiting for delivery of my first delay pedal, and time for more practice.

Nothing. I like what I already have. I have no desire to buy any guitars unless I win a lottery.
I have amp GAS, but even that can wait.

I can only see myself buying something to tour with at this point, another used Yamaha Pacifica if I can find one I like. I have enough, otherwise.

I don't really need anything. If I had any money I'd be looking for a better sounding jazz guitar but thats not happening this year.
