Give me something to watch on Netflix

Michelle Wolf is savage in her new Netflix show. She skewers a subject that is sure to piss a lot of people off. She's got guts.

Wife read the books and loved them. From what she said there is way more detail in the books.
That is my hesitation with the show. I LOVE the books. Really cool idea and right up my alley. I watched a teaser of the show and it looks good but I don't want it ruined like Wheel of Time.

That’s why I don’t read books. Tv shows and movies are ruined for me.

I’ll read the books after the show is done. I think the show is pretty good. Paced kind of slow but very cerebral.

Not on Netflix but Hulu: No One Will Save You

Pretty good alien invasion movie, with some great acting from the lead, with only 1 line of dialogue in the entire movie.

Well acted and cool alien CGI, but it felt like forever waiting for the plot to unfold. I kind of stopped caring about the protagonist and plot about 45 minutes in.

I watched Bottoms last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Some great subversive laughs, and I love how they leaned into the absurdism. Plus it's pretty violent!

Longmire. I watched it when it was on regular tv; watching it again now.
I hung out with Zahn McClarnon, the guy who plays Mathias, in my 20s and 30s before he went to LA, and briefly played in a band with him and his brother. For some strange reason, I never ended up watching the show. I need to binge it pretty soon. Zahn has gone on to act in a bunch of other cool stuff, including Fargo, Westworld, and Darkwinds.

Pretty cool.

Thanks for reminding me about Dark Winds. I really liked the novels, so I really should get round to watching the show.

I’ve been looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the filmmaker’s previous movie. My wife loathed it, but I suspect that it was a case of the especially bad days.

I finally got around to starting The Tick on Amazon Prime. It is a very bizarre and ridiculous superhero series. I think it's hilarious and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Many of you know where my football loyalties are but you should check out Amazon's doc on the beloved Jason Kelse. It was fantastic. Even if you are not an Eagles fan you will enjoy it.

Life long Commanders fan, so you know I’m crazy and despise the Eagles, but it was awesome. Jason is the type of player you root for even though you hate his team.

Do not—I repeat, do NOT waste your time on The Changeling on Apple. It makes absolutely no sense, it’s full of a bunch of artsy fucking bullshit, and I get pissed off every time I think about how incredibly useless it all was.

lol I tried it and couldn’t get into it. The wife has stayed with it though. She does have questionable taste at times.

I could not get into it at all.

Went back to Riverdale, so much happier.

Anyone watched Fall of the House of Usher yet?

I am tempted, bit wondering if I should bother
