Give me something to watch on Netflix

Watched the first episode of Luke Cage S2....

Waaaaayyy stop much sexual energy between two utterly unsexy characters.

Like watching praying mantises mate.

Yes, have seen.

(The post you quoted was from last summer)

Both seasons of Jessica Jones and the first season of Daredevil remain best of Marvel/Netflix.

Ah yes.

I would agree with the above assessment, although for me it's :
Jessica Jones Season 1, Daredevil Season 1, Luke Cage first half of season 1, Jessica Jones season 2....
Daredevil Season 2, Punisher and Luke Season 2 tie...
Defenders, Luke second half of season 2, then Iron Fist.

It's a shame that Iron Fist and Defenders weren't a little better because Iron Fist was a character I really liked as a kid, particularly when he was teamed up with Luke Cage.

Iron Fist was a train wreck. And he didn’t do any favors for The Defenders. They should have used it as an excuse to bring in an Asian dude without such a silly origin story.

If you like smart interesting stand-up comedy at all...

Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette is all kinds of brilliant, and not something that you should skip period, but definitely not something that you can skip and still be ‘in the know.’

The Staircase. I’m not done watching it yet but it’s hard to stop watching. Just as compelling as Making a Murderer but not nearly so disturbing (not yet at least).

We blitzed this last week, not quite up there with Making a Murderer or The Jinx but it's still great.

I'm pretty sure almost no one is talking about this. Funny though.

The Alienist worth sticking with?

We just watched the 1st episode and I think it's promising (the wife not so much) but the stupid accents annoyed me. Not sure wether to bother trying to get into it.

I don't know about the series, but the book was great when I read it like 20 years ago.

I just took the accents as being New York of the time. Everyone came from somewhere else.

Daniel Brühl just sounds like himself speaking English

I dunno, its just a bit off putting. The dialogue and delivery is really clunky too and I'm never uber critical of stuff like that.

Picking up though, we've finished episode 4.

I dont find any of the protagonists particularly likeable or sympathetic right enough.
