Euro 2020 (in 2021)

Holland a lot more confident than I expected.

Very tense in this evening's group with all 4 teams still able to qualify for the next round

Apparently all of the England team now have the plague after someone hugged a Scotland player.

Something like that anyway.

It was cathartic. I doubt the team is capable of making it much further, but that's alright now.

Could perhaps make the quarter finals. Wales in the next game isn't an impossible task.
Glad to see Denmark getting something out of the tournament at least, as I did think they could do quite well before the Euros started. You do have quite a few good players in decent clubs across Europe at the moment. Damsgaard looks a really talented player that could be fun to watch over the next few years.

We haven't made a tournament in yonks, so I like to see our neighbours doing quite well. :thu:

Should have bet my £200 on Croatia. :embarrassed:

At least wee billy down the pub owes me a pint :embarrassed:

Spain being handed a goal by the Slovak goalkeeper. He must have felt sorry for the Spanish

Results turned out favourably for Holland who will play the Czech Republic in the second round :thu:

That last pair of games was mental. Germans and Portuguese nearly blew it!

So wanted Hungary to hold that lead. At one point if Hungary and France won, both Portugal and Germany were going home if I heard the commentary correctly.

A bit of drama in group F tonight :embarrassed:

England-Germany again then. That could be fun.

Not than any game against the Germans is easy, and England clearly need to go up a few gears, but being at Wembley against the "old enemy" gives England a chance. Also apart from the game against Portugal, the Germans also haven't exactly be firing on all cylinders. Anything could happen in that one.

Yeah, England hasn't really had a better chance at beating Germany than now. But... it's Southgate. Slow, overly cautious football with no real plan. Exactly how England has been playing for 20+ years. Germany has at least showed this tournament that they can be really good on the day. England, not so much.
To be fair, I doubt any of them can reach the final though.

Missed a few matches because I was traveling and spent some time on the same island as last year. Now watching Walex - Denmark.

Holy crap Wales is bad. They don't have the best players in the world, but with the players they have they should really be capable of more than whatever the hell trying to do now...
