College football jam.....

Nah, i don't do college. I'm not up on things enough.

And didn't mean to rub salt in the wound. It's just always fun to see an underdog do well. :embarrassed:

I live in kansas, but I'm a USC fan... Other coast USC... South carolina... No salt in any wounds here... diceman is probably cussing up a storm right now though.

stopped at the half yardline i think 99percent of kansas just cussed. the other 1 percent are fans of KU or other teams. For football at least.

OH YEAH!!!! Notre Dame is #1!!!

Thank you Baylor and Stanford.

Now... who's number two? Alabama?

I guess we found out what happens when Oregon encounters a defense.

The officials even gift-wrapped a fake pass interference call for them on their final drive in regulation and they couldn't make it pay off.

It happens every year without fail.

Just wondering - with Ohio State being 11 - 0 I am not hearing any BCS talk about them.

And for Baimun - though I expect they will win, don't buy your BCS tickets yet. Lane Kiffin will probably have his job on the line next week (if it is not already toast) so if ND does not bring their 'A' game to SoCal they may join the one loss club. Then we would have a real mess in the BCS standings. 'Bama and who?

No way Notre Dame is the best team in the country, whether they are undefeated or not. They could barely beat Michigan St.

Still, they are undefeated. As long as they beat USC, got to put 'em in the BCS game.

And now an entry in the "probably no one cares but Pac-12 Conf. fans" category:

After Stanford's win over Oregon, I am even more proud of the UW Huskies defeat of the Cardinal earlier this season in a run of games that included LSU, Stanford, Oregon, USC and Arizona. they could pull only one win out of that stretch, this one over Stanford, and were too beat up and likely suffering from post win let down to play well against Oregon or USC, but have matured and recovered to win 4 straight since that stretch going into the Apple Cup over in Pullman, and earning a record of 7-4, 5-3. The Huskies pulled off this win despite a struggling offensive line and Keith Price. the offense has since matured with the emergence of some decent running game. The defense, though smaller, held the very physical Stanford team, and allowed the offense NO touchdowns and 65 yards rusing. So pretty damn good in my book.

And why am I still talking about this now? Well, I am a Husky fan of course, but also because Stanford just beat Oregon so that Stanford loss weighs in the mix of the conference and nat'l picture. I know Rev and a lot of other fans do not care at all about this and will write the Pac-12 off as a junk conference, but at least it means something concerning Stanford's and Oregon's weaknesses, and shows a once proud UW team starting to return to competitive conference play. Their defense has been developing and strong other than against teams like OR and LSU, and the offense has gained confidence and maturity over the year. So I care anyway. Go Huskies! Don't let down and go get that Apple Cup and a decent bowl invitation!

I don't know. I think all strong teams have a bad game or two. Alabama sure did. Hopefully ND can focus and bring it home. I will pull for them in the nat'l picture. Go Rudy or whatever!

OSU is under sanctions for the tattoo thing. The reason old sweater vest got canned.

I forgot about that.

I agree ND is probably not the best team in the country - but they are still undefeated against mostly a weak schedule. If they beat USC next week we will get to see if they are up to the task of beating whoever is #2 - probably Alabama.
