Dig it! CHOOSE PEEN SIMMONS’ NEXT GUITAR

Peen Simmons

Let’s Get Obtuse!
Let’s play a game. Pretend you’re gonna spend up to $1,000 of my money on a new guitar. You can post something jokey, but I’ll think less of you. If you post something awesome, I may write a song about you.

CAVEATS:
- Only looking for an electric guitar
- I already kinda have an idea.
- I don’t need a strat, a tele, or 12 string electric
- All recommendations are non-binding

Open-Box Banshee Elite-6 with Floyd Rose and Sustainiac Electric Guitar Condition 1 - Mint Gloss Natural

I think you need a semi-hollow, but not the same old same old--something with a little personality of its own.
Perhaps a Reverend Manta Ray or Pete Anderson? Gretsch Streamliner?
Maybe even a Schecter TSH!

Schecter C1-EX Kenny Hickey. A baritone guitar with a Sustainiac opens up lots of new sonic territory. $999 new on Reverb.

I did say ‘something’, it’s true, but I really meant the bit about it being a something that he ‘might like’.

I gigged one of those for years. It's really not a guitar that 'fits' me (it's got 2 extra pickups and humbuckers), but it was a awesome. Plus it was the best under $1000 MM on Reverb. If he goes to $1200, there are much better options.
