Alejandro Escovedo in Santa Fe tonight

You get to see some really cool artists! How was the gig?
Great show! I got hip to him about 15-20 years ago and saw him a couple of times in Nashville but it's been at least ten years since I last saw him. He's uniquely his own thing and I'd been looking forward to this show since it was announced.

Going to see AJ Croce (Jim Croce's son) Wednesday night. Wife and kids bought me Bonnie Raitt tickets for father's day.

Rickie Lee Jones in Albuquerque tonight. This was a stunning set, one of the most memorable shows I've seen in a very long time.

Saw John Oates recently at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. He played an acoustic and told some great stories. He also played a some of his new material.
Saw Jim Messina at the same venue a week later. He's a great guitar player, singer and songwriter. He has a great band as well.
Also have tickets for Cristopher Cross at the MIM in a couple weeks. I saw him with the Beatles Tribute to the White album. I was a passive fan prior to that show, but had no idea what a great guitar player and good performer he is.

Been a pretty busy 2024 for me. I went to see Bad Religion and Social Distortion, twice, once in St Augustine and one near me at MGM. Then I went to see Wilco, then Cake. I’m hitting Band of Horses Sunday, then the Descendants and Circle Jerks the following Friday. Then heading to Richmond to see Bad Religion again. Still debating on the Lemonheads. They’re playing It’s a Shame About Ray and Come on Feel the Lemonheads which are both solid records, but Evan can be a train wreck. I may hit up the DBT Southern Rock Opera show too.

The most recent show I saw was earlier this year.

Skip it. He's a gifted writer when he wants to be, but that show is time and money you'll never get back.

My brother saw him recently too and said it was a train wreck. I just love those 2 albums.

Got tickets to see Big Big Train in Oslo on October 1st. Today it was announced that Rikard Sjöblom's other band (newly reformed after about 8-9 years) Beardfish is going to be the support act. Two of my favourite prog bands in one night is going to be a treat and a half.

We were front row for Plant & Krauss tonight and it was outstanding. Also freakish: Robert Plant at 76 sounds exactly like Robert Plant in '76. It's insane. It's all there, all he has to do is summon it. And Alison can go otherworldly at the drop of a hat too.
