2017 Equipment year end roundup

I got in April according to the NGD thread: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/threads/nsuprise-gd-vintage-edition.82587/#post-1425128

I picked the D and M drive partially because if I had to buy a two button pedal this week supporting The Pedal Show seemed to be good karma. Obviously I think the pedal will sound good or I wouldn't bother but I've been looking at them for a while and then put it off after I got the KoT email.

Maybe in a few weeks I can do a little video. I have a bunch of work to do on my large board now that I have time and the small board will be getting an overhaul in the next week. I'm trying to have everything in working order before school starts up again and I have no time to fix or replace anything.

That Pedal Show really is a great way to suss out whether a pedal will work for your rig or not. That show is why I caved in and got the OCD, after their AC15 episode.
I like how they will try a lot of the pedals out through different amps over a few episodes.

And I learned that I hate the sound of a fuzz through most Fender type amps. :embarrassed:

Yeah, that was this year. Funny, because I was struggling to remember buying ANYTHING this year besides pedals. I got rid of a ton of stuff, but didn't buy much at all.

I bought the Showmaster.

Baught another JC-77

Baught several pedals:

Tokai TCO-2 Compressor
ARIA AD-10 Analog Delay
JOYO QUATTRO Delay
JOYO Chorus
MXR DynaComp
Howie's RAT

I think that's about it in terms of purchasing stuff. I was gifted another Prototype Taylor from Jason Mraz and Bob Taylor. Also gifted from the kind folks at Carvin was the Steve Vai VLD1 Legacy Drive and a shit ton of really nice microphones and SWAG like shirts, cables, straps, gig bags etc. Of course, I also had the extreme honor of receiving "The Jeremy Drive".

I sold off a bunch of P.A. Gear including all of my Behringer stuff (except my trusty 1202FX Mixer that's been bullet proof), the 2,000W Powered Mixer, 12" Passive Mains, ProCom XL Compressor/Limiter/Enhancer.
Sold my Roland Juno Gi.
Sold my PDP Drum Kit.

Best of all though: I UNLOADED THAT GAWDDAMMED LINE 6 HD 500!!!!

I'm having a "Signature Model" guitar built by Keisel but it won't be finished for a while yet.

That's about it.

Yesterday I traded my '97 Strat for an '03 Gibson Songwriter (both are in mint condition). I saw a guitar for sale on another site and figured if I can get the Gibson and flip it, I can get the other guitar and have some money left over. Here it is before I put a new set of strings on it.

I don't think I've bought or sold anything besides strings and picks. LOL

Oh, I did get a Radial Pro-RMP.

ok...

2015 PRS Standard 22 :embarrassed:
2010 Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster
1961 Epiphone Century Hollowbody
1976 Fender Deluxe Reverb
Analogman King of Tone
Xotic AC Booster
Nobels ODR-1 (sold to @Modern Saint )
Strymon El Capistan delay
Boss CE-2w Wazacraft Chorus
Dunlop mini wah
Wampler Velvet Fuzz
Dunlop Reverb
mzo.effects Ohm drive prototype

On order:

Malekko Omicron Chorus (to replace the one that I sold to @dmn23 a few years ago)
Dunlop mini Phase 95
Sonic Research ST-300 mini
Keeley D and M Drive
Warmoth strat neck

The last batch of "on order" and the PRS were about moving up some planned acquisitions for this current tax year since I have no incentive next year to spend money on gear. I'll discuss that part in the politics thread if anyone wants to ask. The pedals I just ordered are for my small pedalboard...I can probably fit the mini tuner and one or the other of the mini mod pedals on with the D and M drive but not with the full-sized versions. The PRS will actually be usable for my rock gig and I can spread the wear and tear out between that, the McFeely 454 and my Les Paul a llittle more evenly and if one of them needs to go in for maintenance (or a refret as will be the case with the 454 and the Les Paul later in the year or early next year) I won't need to wait until I have a break in my gig schedule like I did this year.

On the additional "plus" side I get my McFeely 440 back in a couple of weeks too, which I am very excited about.
That D&M Drive is on my GAS list.

I forgot (D'OH!) about the two production Ohm pedals I have. One (the one I used for the demo video) I'm keeping, the other is still for sale on Reverb.

Late arrival!!!

I knew it was coming, but I still love seeing it in the flesh.

Seeing it with a bit of water on it makes me regret that I want to paint it surf green. I may just go back on that idea.

Neck is a somewhat shallow D, perfect for me. And it's light as all get out.

Thread to follow...

I also got a P90 winding kit from my daughter. This one will be all about me sonically. I may get a bridge for it from Rockinger, Deusenberg or maybe Faber.
