2017 Equipment year end roundup

Sold these 2 guitars. I had no need to replace. Received OCD pedal as gift. It's been a quiet year gear wise. My apologies about the huge photo.

All outgoing for me this year. The only one that sucked to sell was my Jeff Tweedy SG. :(

I do have two builds in the works, but both are still in prototype mode.

You sold the Tweedy and I was not notified?

Kidding, I wouldn't have been able to swing it this year, but that sucks.

Sold my Hwy 1 Showmaster to OGG (was that this year or last year?).
Sold my LP Special doublecut to BK.
Bought a Revstar, another Charvel So Cal, and a Fryette Valvulator.

I bought one guitar last year, this ES-335 1963 VOS Hand Selected Gibson Memphis historic model (it is a new guitar, not a real 63, but styled like a real one and aged a bit to knock the new shine off of stuff and add a little tarnish to the hardware ). The thing plays like a mother fucker and sounds absolutely amazing.

The only other piece of gear I bought was a Boss Katana 100, which is a fantastic practice amp.

I sold an old pdp 5 piece drum kit, and donated a couple of old acoustics and a peavey electric and line 6 amp to the local school.

Mostly been studio equipment for me this year - but all of it is really good.

Heritage 73 jr. preamp
A second Phoenix DRS500 pre (so I now can run em in stereo)
Lindell Pultec style EQ
DBX 560 compressor (500-series version of the classic 160)

Warm Audio WA87 (if you're looking for a GREAT condenser mic for under 1k, run and get this one. Seriously)

Guitar wise, Warmoth roasted maple neck for my MIM Tele.
Fulltone OCD the only pedal purchase if I remember right.

I think that's it. Quality wise, it's been a great year. :)

Oh god...

Bought a Taylor 314ce LTD and a Squier short bass...rebuilt one of my Partscasters...sold 4 or 5...

Amps stayed the same...

Flipped at least a dozen pedals in and out...

EDIT: forgot about the Gretsch I bought in April...:embarrassed:

Believe it or not... while it may not impact the sound of the instrument, it’s every bit as important.

A friend of mine recently picked up one of those NS Cellos... the fretted one. I sat there for probably two hours with it trying to get the bowing down, with a cheap plastic bow. If it was a fretless one I'd try to buy it from him.
