Morning all - fuck all to report. Hope the cloud clears and the sun shines later on.

Leftover rice can harbour nasties, iirc the rule is that you either eat it cold or re-heat thoroughly. As a student though you should be so used to eating food prepared in unhygenic conditions you'll have developed cast iron guts.

Go for it; consider it a test. :embarrassed:

i'd rather not get the violent shits whilst at the studio :embarrassed:

i'll have it cold for dinner

Ive never heard of rice being bad for you if eaten a day or so later.

Whats that all about?

Ok if ita a week old then yes but if its from yesterday your fine.

I should know, heres a recent pic of me

Morning all,

Calum

Rice should be fine if you nuke it in the microwave for 2 minutes and stir it thoroughly. :embarrassed:

Ethan, stuff is in the post :embarrassed:

Oooooh, what that in your avatar? Mornin btw. :thu:

That would be my Hofner Colorama 2 from 1963. It's exactly the same as the first electric I ever had and then foolishly sold, although I did get a nice Fernandes Strat to replace it (which I foolishly sold).

Anyway, I bought it a couple of years ago off ebay for 140 quid; the most I've ever spent in one go on a guitar. It's a dog too - needs a LOT of work, but it's sitting in my bro's house till I get back to the UK. Cool as anything, though, and sounds really funky.

Morning chaps.

Nice sunny weather here today. Not much going on. I might finally get around to hanging the pictures that I've been meaning to put up since forever. There probably isn't a cupboard in our house that doesn't contain at least one picture all framed up and ready to hang. Some of them are even pretty good. :embarrassed:

Went to a cricket club committee meeting last night. The start of the season is imminent, and I am looking forward to it immensely. I don't think that I shall be playing much this year because of my hand; and am a little worried that, at my age, this may be the onset of retirement from the game. I shall certainly continue my umpiring duties so long as I continue to have confidence that I get most decisions right. I have promised my good friend the groundsman that I will go over to the club a few times this week and next to help him do some of the bazillions of stuff that needs to be done to get ready. <BIG_KID>He has promised to let me have a go at driving the heavy roller!:bluesdance:</BIG_KID>

And I eat leftover rice frequently. No problem. I fart in your general direction!

I had shepherds pie last night.

I defy anyone to beat that. (last night food only i mean)

Ive been trying to think of a food that would go off within one day. I cant. Possibly Joghurt if left open and not in a fridge. Or strawberries.

I think even if most food has turned the corner slightly you could still eat it. I mean hundreds of years ago eating rotten food was necessary to survive. So whats my point?

God knows.

A lot of the problem has to do with the factoid that we all (in the 'modern, affluent West') have crap immune systems owing to excessive and routine use of antibiotics and disinfectants. "Kills 99% of known germs". 99.5% of known germs are utterly harmless, many are actively beneficial.:shrug:

I'm a jumper Nazi. I will look after a jumper (or in some cases a couple of jumpers) for a bowler who is currently bowling (or is expecting to bowl the next over). When a bowler has finished a spell, I might hang on to it for a couple of overs if he doesn't want it immediately. If a batsman insists on removing a sweater in the middle of an over I will hold it until the end of the over and expect him to get a teammate to come out and collect it then. Anybody else tends to get the response "Do I look like a fucking coathanger?"

Edit: Oh, and I don't tie them around my waist. I hate these modern 'blouson' style jackets that the ECB and telly people are thrusting upon the game. I wear an old-fashioned type coat, which has loops for hanging jumpers from.

Due to my mum being that obsessive, my immune system to harmful bacteria is nearly non-existent as well as throwing anything out that is past date. Yet my stomach is like a container made of galvanised steel that has an unpluggable hole  I don't get things like food poisoning even when my brother does and eats the same dinners and stuff.

Change of plan. Picture hanging can wait. The sun is shining into my living room, the tea is steaming nicely, an nicely illuminated haze of smoke is hanging by the window and I'm getting set up to do some 'Laid back funky jam'ming. See you later.
