If I may ask What are you doing in Taipei?

Last time I was in Taipei, I gave the taxi driver a bottle of Johnny Walker and a carton of Camels and I got to see Taipei for free, them were the good ole days

Well, my wife is Taiwanese, so I came over here for a few years to see what it's like. Probably heading back to the UK in the next year. We've had two kids since we got here, which complicates things a bit too.

How about you?
 
Thanks. You all realise the pots are push/pull, right? Just checking. They don't have to be Strat knobs, and in fact I had Strat knobs on them before and they're not the best for pulling out the way.

Erm, btw, I started that thread so you'se could post there. Didn't want to make the Euro thread all, you know, guitarry. You know what happens when people start talking about guitars in here.

Well I came to Japan in 74 moved back with my Japanese wife to raise our child in the early 90's and been here since. Should be retired but we have a small business to run so I guess I'll have to work for a few more years, don't mind it all though :)

So, i still want a mega cheap SG model. Its not fair. I want it now (throws teddy). Im 40 in September so will wait until then. Dammit.

Oh and you cant complain as the SG im talking about will probably be really cheap and not from Gibson or Epiphone or whatever so its not a 'real' guitar to many people so that doesnt count.

Morning all.

Strung my Strat WIP up with wool. Let me finish... I badly need some form of strings on there, but A; I don't have any guitar strings, and B; it couldn't take the tension, because it doesn't have a neckplate, and so the screws aren't all the way in. So wool it is. I need to get going on learning the fretboard notes, but I need some form of string on there to accurately do so :grin:

Westfield E2000, perhaps? Sorry for big image.

Westfield aren't the best guitars in the world I've heard, but it sure as hell looks decent. I had a Westfield neck once, that eventually got sent to Abrasion... felt pretty decent. Plus, it's a bolt-on. But, it does look like a pretty nice cheapo SG. The Les Pauls are to die for, though :love:

I can't quite believe they haven't been sued already for those headstock shapes. They've copied both the Gibson shape, and the Fender Strat/Tele shapes :eek:
