This was the Knopfler album missing from my collection. I downloaded a 96/24 version that sounds excellent. I think it is one of his better albums.

I don’t even bother buying vinyl LPs that aren’t 180g. Huge difference.
I bought several used albums that were supposedly VG+ etc., and some were pretty good, but a lot, even after cleaning them with the SpinClean and vacuum thing, just were not that great. So, I don't think I will waste my time with those in the future. Particularly disappointing was a copy of "Kind of Blue" for which I paid reasonable money. Won't do that again. Will just get a good, heavy, new re-issue. Even though the guy is willing to replace it, just not worth the time.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, I would strongly recommend some 45rpm releases, especially for things that were well-recorded and engineered to begin with.
