Vaccine thread

Wife got her first Pfizer three weeks ago and is up for shot number two in a couple of weeks. She missed her original second appointment due to the foot operation thing, but they rescheduled her.

I'm still on the waiting list as I am lower priority than she is in the rollout planning. I should get my first next month, I think.

My wife got her first last week and gets her second towards the end of May. My step-daughter is too young at this point but has said she does not want to get hers. Her Dad's parents are borderline anti-vaccine so that is where she is getting that. But at her age Covid is pretty mild so that is not a big worry.

I hope it all goes well Denverdave. This has happened to my family a few times and we have been lucky to avoid any infections.

It is situations like these that make me happy that one can get 5 free home antigen tests per person per month in Switzerland. It gives on a bit of relief knowing you can self monitor in these situations. Especially good this allergy season, where half of my house is sneezing and wheezing and feeling lousy.

Gor my second Pfizer last Wednesday. I had zero energy the Thursday and started feeling good the Friday morning...
Then fatigue set in again followed by joint pain. Same for Saturday and today. I get tired just walking and joint pain has increased today. I'm wondering what's already going on in my body that the vaccine response has aggravated.

Rocking the shot!

I get my shot, and hours later, Bill and Melinda announced they are splitting.

Coincidence?

Hmm I just got my second shot so maybe not

The first shot was a piece of cake, 15 minutes tops. The second...:roflwtf::bounce::reallymad: a 2 hour line outside on a pretty warm day. It appears that the county decided to give 2nd dose appointments to everyone that was vaccinated for the entire week 3 weeks ago on the same day. I never expected since the county is about 50% vaccinated that the lineup would be 100 times worse than 3 1/2 weeks ago but there you have it. I was pissed off but what can you do. So now at least it is done. Now waiting for the side effects to kick in (or not hopefully)

Got my second Moderna last Thursday. Felt fine until precisely 24 hours later at which point I went to bed for 12 hours. Spent a good chunk of the next day (Saturday) drained, but felt fine after that. The grocery store pharmacist told me side effects ranged from none at all to one day flu feeling. I guess I got that second option.
