Vaccine thread

I'm still awaiting the microchips to boot up.

Mrs. Roach got her second Mod last night. Tuesday I journey back to the CVS deep in San Antonio for my second Pfizer.

Think I’ll celebrate that night with a fresh bottle of Laphroaig.

I just booked my first shot (Pfizer) for tomorrow - never I thought I'd be this happy to drive to Gary, IN
air force peeps (I think there was a mix of other armed forces as well, but the guys at my station were air force) at the FEMA site were super friendly and efficient; I was in and out in ~20 mins or so; next poke in 3 weeks!

6 cases in 6.8M doses.

Relax.

A friend of mine is actually quite concerned about this, as she's in the right age group and already has issue with clotting and is at high risk of other complications. She got her shot last week and is undergoing extreme anxiety about whether she's got a sinus infection because we're all being nose-fucked by pollen, or something more serious is going on. While not everyone has to be concerned, I'd wager all of us know someone that may be at risk from this, whether you openly know about it or not.

while being worried is totally normal and human and understandable, just based on the stats her risk because of the vaccine is still incredibly small. The risk of this type of clotting just in the general population is essentially the same as what's been observed with the J&J vaccine

Driving to any vaccination site is more risky than getting the J&J shot.

Yes. I just drove into San Antonio and back for my 2nd dose (Pfizer), and I can confirm the traffic was much more of a threat.

On the plus side, 2nd dose is in me so

Oh but also, Mrs Roach got some yucky sickness today and got sent home from school. Her second dose of Moderna was Friday...hopefully she’ll feel better tomorrow.

Well today I woke up with a slight case of the yuckies. Looks like not much will get done today except keeping the recliner warm, and maybe guitar goofing.

My arm is sore, and I am tired. Otherwise I'm fine. The wife didn't even feel the injection and no soreness, but she had a fever w/ weird dreams last night.
