Simply awesome young woman! :thu:

I live in a vortex of not watching, reading, or listening to news... Who is she?

Good afternoon all. Not a bad day today. I was supposed to meet someone for a CL deal this morning. He didn't show up. A friend was supposed to stop by and buy an Ibanez. She had to cancel because of unforeseen issues with at trip she is taking in August. But I got in touch with someone from the Heritage forum. I sold a Heritage. It was my beat up black H-150P. It's basically a Les Paul with a poplar body. I really liked that guitar. But something has to go. I still have one Heritage up for sale. The sale won't be final for another week. He asked for a week to really try it. But he gave me the cash for it. If he decides that he doesn't like it, I'll refund the money. But I'm pretty sure that it's gone.

I just had a great customer experience with Egnater Amps. I had bought a used Rebel 20 on the cheap and it needed expert repair. I contacted and sent it to Egnater knowing there would be some out of pocket expense. The amp arrived yesterday and the repair was comped. To top it off, they even put it in a new Egnater box. Kudos and props to them.

The champ is fixed! Woot. Headed to go get it!

That's awesome!

I sold my rebel 20 and the matching 2x 1x12 cabs that it came with.

Great amp, but I have too many.

I'm sitting here jamming with some James Brown and working on the new forum layout. I get quite a bit done when students flake :embarrassed:

Good evening. I had a mixed day. I sold my Tele Deluxe. That's the one I bought a couple of weeks ago. I also sold a set of Fralins. But a deal on another set of pickups fell through. Such is life. Outside of that, I found out that I'm still a candidate for a part time position with an AIDS charity. Hopefully I'll learn more about that this week.

Ummm....wha???

It broke. Ron fixed it and put in a vintage toob for $40.
It has new input jacks, volume pot and a burned resistor is fixed.
He removed the circuit board that the volume pot and jacks mounted to and wired real parts in direct.

But I didn't get to go pick it up. :embarrassed: Life intervenes.

Good luck. We're all counting on you.

Well, cool - I thought you gave up on it and sent the remains to Saint :embarrassed:.

I did a little research and found the problem was fairly minor with the resistor. The volume pot was busted, too.
Turns out, if a toob arcs, it will burn up one particular resistor. That's what I had. A new resistor and toob fixed it up. Ron sold me a 1950ish Ken Rad brand tube.
Since volume pot was toast and attached to the same circuit board as the equally flimsy plastic input jacks, I asked him to remove the circuit board altogether and hard wire new jacks and volume pot.
So, a vintage nos tube, 4 resistors (3 for the jacks), 2 switchcraft jacks and a CTS pot all installed for $40. Not a bad deal.

And it's home. Sounds good and I like the new tube. We plugged it into his 8x10 bass cab! Holy mother of all Champs, did that sound sweet!

And I scored a pickup for the white guitar. A Lollar El Rayo humbucker.

It's been a busy day. I sold 2 guitars and a set of pickups. That makes 4 guitars sold this week. I'm also working on a deal with a local store. He wants to buy at least 6 guitars from me. I have to reinstall the stock pickups in them. I may be able to sell him as many as ten if it all works out.
