Perds next conquest after the Hawks. I fucking hate the Blues, and was damn glad they got whacked. Same with the Ducks. Out of the other three teams left, there is no team I outright hate.

Probably not gonna happen, but I would love to see a Perds/Sens Final - NBC would be mortified, and probably pressure the league into reverting back to the previous conference-based playoff seeding format.
 
F'n Fat Phil gets another served up on a platter from Crosby. I bet he mowed into a 12 pack of Twinkies after the game.
 
That was a great series between the Predators and Ducks. Looking forward to a sea of yellow in the SCF.
 
With the losses that the Preds have had I don't think they will be able to handle the Pens. I had hoped that the Pens wouldn't repeat but right now that seems like the most likely result. Still hoping the Sens can get a little magic and/or Rinne can continue to play at the level he is but not very hopeful.

Something really funny from last night's game was Crosby standing with his back to the Sen's bench watching the play... dude on the bench is squirting whatever is in the Gatorade bottle into Sid's glove.

Sens surprised me by rallying for the win...I'm quite happy though a bit pissed that they didn't (at least the last I heard) sellout the game. The arena is in a shitty place but it's not like it's the middle of winter and you'd be worried about the drive home in the snow. I hope I'll be wrong and the NHL bigwigs will be crying tomorrow night if there is a Smashville/Sens final :Wave:

I think for a lot of us on here......the biggest game of the season.

Hopefully, tomorrow, I will be able to hear the sound of a wailing Canuck in the distance, travelling on the wind from up north over the border to my window......

That team in Pittsburgh, but not for Gary Bettman, would be in Hamilton, Ontario right now. What seems like a fantastic fan base there, after having had the great fortune of being blessed by Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr, two of the best players to ever play the game, had stopped supporting the team and it was bankrupt.

A businessman from Canada put down a $10 million non-refundable deposit on the team when it was up for sale. Bettman ensured that the terms of the sale would be unacceptable to the prospective buyer (team had to stay in Pittsburgh for something like 7 years) so the buyer refused the dictated terms. The team therefor got $10 million for nothing - thanks to Greasey Gary Bettman. Then they drafted Crosby and the rest is history.

That is one unlikeable team.

...and they have Fat Phil.
 
Maybe Murray has a bad game tonight...he was out for a while and has seemed very sharp since his return. He is due for a weak showing.

I hope it is tonight.
