The Washington Post and specifically David Farenthold (sp?) did an excellent job of covering Trump during the campaign. I became a digital subscriber to the WP a couple months ago. Newspapers still do good work.

It wasn't enough, sadly.

Farenthold deserves a Pulitzer.

I receive periodic emails that show all of the voting that my House Rep and Senators have made in Congress from Megavote.com (part of Congress.org). I recommend that we all sign up to receive this. It will only show how your elected congressperson has voted, usually 3 or 4 weeks between emails.

This one passed just in time for the new regime takeover:

Recent House Votes

"Midnight" Rules - Vote Passed (240-179, 15 Not Voting)

The bill would permit a new Congress to use the procedures under the Congressional Review Act to disapprove, en bloc, multiple regulations issued by a president in his final year in office rather than just a single regulation at a time for rules issued during the final 60 session days of the previous Congress.

well....it'll streamline the process. now we'll know very quickly that everything is gridlocked, instead of having to wait a few months.

what are you 'trying'?
i completely agree with your above post (the big one ).

I'm trying to extract myself from this thread.

Despite my EXTREME disappointment and disgust, I want to hope for the best with Trump. But the choices he's making for a cabinet aren't helping, neither is his inability to be anything more than juvenile in his immediate overreaction to everything. What's more, since the election the voice of Trump supporters/apologists and people perpetuating the false equivalency between Trump and Clinton has grown and the best way to avoid stirring up the shit is to sit out participation of this thread or actually just to avoid it altogether.

well....at least you have somewhere to come and vent a little, when you need to.

"President-elect Donald J. Trump said on Tuesday that he would “keep an open mind” about whether to pull the United States out of a landmark multinational agreement on climate change.

During his presidential campaign, Mr. Trump repeatedly said he would withdraw from the Paris climate accord. But on Tuesday, he said, “I’m looking at it very closely. I have an open mind to it.”"

i don't see what your confusion is. i clearly heard dumpster state, many times, that he was going to be unpredictable. he was going to keep people guessing.

he's doing exactly what he said.

how'd that song go in the movie "best little whorehouse in texas"?
a little sidestep, now they see me, now they don't.

edit: sarcasm, for those that didn't get that.

If 10% of the people who bitched about "the media" would go out and buy a subscription to The Washington Post or the NY Times, we'd all be in a little better shape.

Journalism takes time, persistence, patience, judgment, etc., and has nothing to do with standing behind a desk trying to entertain a national audience for as long as possible.

so basically every single one of his campaign promises have already been abandoned.

are his voters pissed yet?

Some tasty facebook fight'n is a foot over the DAPL protest

A. they should be down in the cities using these tactics on the stupid anti-trump rioters
A. BLM is not innocent, nor is the violent anti-trump "protesters" that are burning cars, looting blocking traffic and beating on innocent people

B. Then at least have the balls to be as racist as you are and stop calling it inner cities when you really mean black people

A. YOU DO NOT KNOW ME SO DO NOT LABEL ME WITH YOUR NARROW MINDED BULLSHIT. The Black lives Matter group is funded by the Globalist George Soros who wishes to destroy the US so as to make it pliable for UN troops and such to take over. They are a terrorist organization, the cry baby anti trump supporters are the product of a left leaning delicate snowflake mentality of spoiled brats. I am tired of the do nothings demanding more of my hard work to fund their lives, were there riots/looting burning assaults when Obama was elected by the right? No there wasn't

B. For fuck sake's hasn't anyone read the Art of War or the US Constitution? Do you people really think it's a coincidence that all these minor erruptions in politics and race and water rights are occurring simultaneously. ?!? It's classic divide and conquer and if you are myopic enough to believe that you are part of the one percent you are kidding yourselves! What you do to your brother will also be done to you! Unite and ban together as American people of all races creed gender color and religion because when they strip the rights of your fellow American they'll be coming for yours soon enough.
