But they are not all terrorists, and calling everyone that just makes it worse. I fall on the side of needing to talk to the not quite half of the voters that chose trump. Without some sort of discussion, we are reduced to caveman tribal warfare and will make no progress without one side dominating the other, and both sides killing each other off in the process.

You need to look at it this way people were more worried that their insurance premiums were going up then about lesbian and or gay rights. Nazis and or the KKK certainly did not elect. The media is pissed because they got it so incredibly wrong. Look at it not one of the media came even Close to predicting the election. They were all cast as complete idiots.

This is not a government thread. This is a politics thread. Politics is just popular culture with life and death consequences. And given that understanding, cultural criticism about the tone and meaning of Trumpism is valid...and people are right to be weirded out by this Andrew Jackson on bathsalts presidency in waiting.
