OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

It isn't just about companies, its donors. The Koch brothers head up Freedom Partners. Between 2011-2014 they had given $323,936,500 to politicians. I bet there are close to 0 democrats that got a dime of that. How much of the Koch brothers American Encore $169,148,666 have gone to democrats? What about $64,200,000 from Crossroads GPS? You think they gave heavily to Barrack Obama's re-election campaign? The companies you referenced are just a tiny drop in the political spending bucket.

i'm just pointing out that one side WILL take money from a company that has given to the other side. there's no 'us or no one' where the money is concerned. the Kochs ONLY give to the gop. and there are those that ONLY give to the dems. that does not mean that the dems would NOT take money from the Kochs, if it was offered.

Much like the Supreme Court, the CIA and FBI should be party neutral. With Comey's actions, he clearly is not capable of being party neutral.

Even if the intent of releasing the information about the discovery of the emails was an attempt to be transparent, it is completely expected that it would be twisted and used by the Trump campaign....which of course it was. Toss in the timing of the letter to congress with early voting rolling in and it was incredibly poor judgement at best.

he says he will fix the inner city. trust me. how though? stop and frisk? how do you "fix" the inner city exactly?

“inner city” is a dog whistle. He’s not fixing anything, just insulting black people without having the guts to say it. Especially now that most American inner cities are full of rich white people and immigrants who priced everyone else out. And they’re doing just fine.

My point was not who takes the money, it is who gives it. A pro life donor will not donate to a democrat because by being a democrat, you are siding with pro choice. You eliminate the party, politicians aren't bound to a party line so they can be bought by the highest bidder.

i think there so much money in it now, that the parties really don't matter. they both get all they need.
the problem with money in politics is not how many or what parties there are, it's campaign finance reform, and neither side wants that.

I wish, but money follows power and power follows money.

I despise the Dem/Rep/Lib parties.
I'd love to see no left or right.
Only UP or DOWN... FORWARD or BACKWARD.

Realistically, I have to still vote for specific candidates that are members of a party to enact a RELATIVE upward direction.
