the most unfortunate (but completely predictable) part is, that a big chunk of 'the people' have taken the bait too. It’s as if some evil genius planned it that way because he knew our government was too bloodthirsty to not take the bait.
Article from a Hillary supporter who has been dismissive of Bernie supporters: http://journalstar.com/news/opinion...cle_26c9bd2f-2cf7-59fb-b312-1bd5de0a6158.html
So I pretty much view this as a prime example of what Hillary's supporters and campaign should NOT be doing. Yes, there are "Bernie bros." And others who will not be convinced. But Hillary and her campaign and the democratic party need to reach out in a better way to try to bring in some of the large number of people that were moved to support Bernie and his ideals and politics. Not saying she has to adopt Bernie's platform whole hog, but some outreach is in her interests, and the interests of the democratic party. There may be Hillary supporters that speak about this differently, but it is sure hard to find any. If anyone knows of some outreach from Hillary or her people, please show it to me.
Instead, they will rely on the tried and true don't vote for the other side because they're bad.
I'll just leave this here without further comment...
Yet another futile, spiteful gesture. It is honestly very depressing that he is the GOP candidate.Trump’s campaign revoked the Washington Post’s press credentials. I guess he doesn’t realize this won’t stop them from covering a campaign that revolves around twitter and speeches broadcast live on cable news.

You know, if I was in charge of the GOP, I would be at Colin Powell's house right now begging him to run. Explaining to him that he is the only chance to save the party from total destruction. Then have a contested convention and make him the nominee. Sure Trump would run as a third party and give Hillary the election, but the party wouldn't be viewed as a disgrace by the rest of the world. And Colin may be able to win.
And he seems to be a pretty moderate Republican, in the style that pretty much no longer exists any more. The GOP *hates* Colin Powell for his support of Obama. They consider him a traitor these days.
