My CV tele rebuild thread.

Well, its useless for gigs without them. I can't use my Tokai at all for the same reason. And with them it's actually a very useful instrument for the first set with the cover band.

I'm looking at the DiMarzio Area Hot T, and maybe a neck humbucker like the Air Classic.

I got these pickups because they were cheap but @smurfco liked them in his guitar. We seem to have similar aethetics about these things so it seemed like a safe bet.

That's why I'm considering them. But I can't see them sounding any better than the SD set I have now, except for hum

Smurfco's rosewood tele sounds good.

The Kinmans are the best that I've heard in person but they aren't the same as a "normal" single coil. The sound good, but not exactly what I like. For some reason noiseless tele pickups are unacceptable to me. Not sure why I feel that way.

Yup.
Aren't humbuckers great?

I just did the intonation on my tele, and it was way off, I was surprised how easy it was. Nice to get two strings done at the same time, every time I dailed one string in, the next one would be right on.

I like having the compensated brass saddles. I've actually never setup/adjusted a tele before so I had a little learning curve. The biggest issue was making sure that each saddle was oriented straight.

I may have just gotten lucky that mine were all an easy adjustment away from right.
