The story of the Woodstock festival is very interesting. It went amazingly well considering the ineptitude of the promoters, the difficulty of securing a location, and the logistics of getting performers in and out through the mess. Wavy Gravy and the rest of the Hog Farm were a big part of keeping the place running.Okay…. Another mind blowing piece of trivia.
Hendrix was the headliner for the last slot… but the Friday, Saturday, Sunday slots ran into delays…. So he didn’t end up going on until 9 am on Monday morning after many of the concert goers had left.
I feel slightly better about leaving mid way into a Van Hagar set now knowing that there were people who left Woodstock before Hendrix’s legendary set!!!
and it's practically a miracle that they got Max to let them use his square mile farm, since the promoters only figured on 20 to 30 thousand.....not half a freakin' million. The story of the Woodstock festival is very interesting. Never underestimate the power of a sawzall.
Exactly like old Nick...That's one thing that people don't seem to get/remember/realize that all of the traditional Djinn (or Genie in the states) stories were tales of "careful what you wish for" and the entire point of the Djinn was that he was a crafty demon that would always try to find a way to literally grant your wish without actually fulfilling the actual intended wish.
