What TV show?

I thought it was the Sha Na Na show…Edit DCF just posted confirmation. My parentd would watch it when I was a little kid. I just remember they were like a singing version of Happy Days or Grease with the slicked back hair singing those 50’s songs.

Oh yeah and the one guy with the deep voice doing the “Bow Bow Bow” like the Blues Brothers “Rubber Biscuit”.

Okay…. Another mind blowing piece of trivia.

Hendrix was the headliner for the last slot… but the Friday, Saturday, Sunday slots ran into delays…. So he didn’t end up going on until 9 am on Monday morning after many of the concert goers had left.

I feel slightly better about leaving mid way into a Van Hagar set now knowing that there were people who left Woodstock before Hendrix’s legendary set!!!

The story of the Woodstock festival is very interesting. It went amazingly well considering the ineptitude of the promoters, the difficulty of securing a location, and the logistics of getting performers in and out through the mess. Wavy Gravy and the rest of the Hog Farm were a big part of keeping the place running.

Sha Na Na were terrific.

'I've got just got one thing to say to all you fucking hippies, and that is that rock and roll is here to stay!'

and it's practically a miracle that they got Max to let them use his square mile farm, since the promoters only figured on 20 to 30 thousand.....not half a freakin' million.

I remember converter theft being rampant in Chicago when I lived there. That's partly why my car was lowered. I wanted it to be a pain in their ass.
They stole my stereo 3 times instead. Actually, the 3rd time I hadn't replaced it so they broke my window and stole my floor mats.

That's one thing that people don't seem to get/remember/realize that all of the traditional Djinn (or Genie in the states) stories were tales of "careful what you wish for" and the entire point of the Djinn was that he was a crafty demon that would always try to find a way to literally grant your wish without actually fulfilling the actual intended wish. :baimun:
