Only if I had to fight a Klingon.
I can see that...

This thread is confirmation of what I've long suspected to be true.

I'm cooler than almost everybody.
I would be with you, as I kinda like it, but feel that I would look way too middle aged Dad like playing it. But then again, I probably look way too Dad like playing most guitars.

More I look at it, the more it's growing on me. Classic colour scheme, sensible control layout and decent materials, and the shape looks like it would be quite ergonomic standing or sitting. I'd give it a go.

Usually I like the offbeat Guild, Ovation, etc. electrics from that era.

But not this one.

I guess I missed this thread the first time around.

I remember the 2nd time I saw Judas Priest, like January of 1983 at the Lansing Civic Center, KK Downing played these guitars. He played his Gibson Flying V the first time I saw them in 1982, and his Flying V's again in 1984, so he must've been endorsed by Guild for a quick minute in 1983.

I got to play one of these at Elderly's about 2 years ago. I was in horrible condition and the high E-string was off the edge of the fretboard at the upper frets. Wasn't even worth $50, imo :embarrassed:
