Youtube guitar cover song lessons

I don't think its audacious to try and teach someone to be better than you at something.

On the other hand, claiming to know something that you don't is sad.

But the nerve you're striking is probably a mixture of many things, including "how much did you pay for that?" and "why crap on others?"

Because I'm old enough to remember that if you couldn't woodshed a solo, you had to pay for the tablature.

Great.

Now we can move on to the larger problems, which are that the fact that The Eagles existed and that people still want to play and/or hear their product.

If that's what keeps you up at night then you have other issues. To each his own and all that. I only happened to dig that up recently for my son, who wanted to learn it. I don't judge (much).

Record yourself playing Zakk's "Farewell Ballad" nailing it lick for lick, bend for bend and feel for feel and post it up!

I think the Eagles are amazing. Much like pooping on Bono, I think most people who claim to dislike them are just making sad attempts at some stance that, well, escapes me.

huh? you realize threads go on longer than the real life situation that prompted the thread. they take on a life of their own quite apart from me working on Hotel California. It's all meaningless words and people wanting to argue with a simple post they should really have no reason to even care about. All good clean fun, sometimes.

And don't pull the age card on me my friend, you will lose. :hippie:

You know I never liked them when they were popular, saw them at the biggest concert ever held in California and wasn't into them at all. But they were constantly on the radio and I had friends that actually played their albums in their entirety. And then HBO aired that History of the Eagles and I suddenly liked them. Don't know why. That also happened with the recent documentary on Tom Petty. Never cared for him, but watching the doc I was singing along with all of the songs. Now they're going to play in Pasadena for some lame "Arroyo Festival" that the City of Pasadena came up with after seeing all the revenue of festivals like Coachella and the local LA FYF (Fuck Yeah Festival). But I doubt I'll buy tickets just to see TP though.

So . . . you never know when something you grew up with will suddenly creep up on you and tickle your interest.

Moot issue. I don't post lessons on youtube. Life isn't a contest. Calmer than you bro.

I will though if you learn and post this:

It was a joke brother... hence the "" at the end... My bad if it came off wrong... tone thru text and all.

Yes I realized that and just kidding here too. I just don't use the smilies. Jokes aren't as funny if you're constantly explaining that you're joking.

Yeah, I watched the video and assumed you were joking because there wasn't a chance in hell I'd be playing that with all the right technique. I actually prefer how he started off though, slow and clean. Nice video though. Thanks!

I usually stop criticizing bands when I realize I'm always singing along to their songs on the radio. Sometimes.
