Your 2018 year in gear

So how was 2018 to you gear-wise? I just did what should be the last purchase of the year last night picking up a Nash Telecaster. There were some trades that didn't really work out, sold some stuff I didn't want to have to sell, bought some things that weren't as wonderful as I had hoped and discovered some great gear I hope to keep and possible buy backups of at some point.

The best I found this year:

I bought the following guitars....a Gibson Historic VOS 1961 es-330 TDN, a Fender Custom Shop 1963 Jazzmaster, and a Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Double Cut Special. I also bought a Keeley 4 knob Compressor Plus.

That 330 looks great. How you liking it?

I love it. It is a great player and it sounds really sweet. The memphis historic p90's in it are a really nice 'low output' style p90 and are jazzier and sweeter sounding than the custom shop p90s in the double cut, which are a more edgy, growling type p90 sound. I have the companion ES-335 in my signature, a Historic 1963 VOS ES-335

i bought some strings and some picks and a tremolo pedal
and a Mitchell D-100 Acoustic (used)

Going off-topic, but how do you like the Compass? I am in need of a vehicle and looking at a small SUV like that. Anything you don't like about it?

Back on topic, I don't think I got any gear of significance this year. Boring huh?

hm...I need to think. I actually sold a lot more than I bought this year. Mostly pedals came in.

off topic:

i got it on June 31, and so far i like it a lot. very nice and comfy interior, does ok on the gas (4 cyl base engine), back seats are very comfy, if i pull out the driver i can get the golf bag in the back sideways (don't have to put seats down).

the only thing that bugs me, and this is a chrysler wide issue, is that the gas pedal is in no way mechanically connected to the engine. it's all fly by wire and there is a noticeable computer lag between pushing the gas pedal and the engine reacting, especially if you mash it. generally not that big an issue, but if you're trying to get out in traffic quickly it is very annoying and, imo, dangerous. they need to fix that. but it's been an issue since at least 2009 (the piece of shit patriot i had that led to the compass). i don't know if that is a programmable item or not, if you had access to a full diagnostic machine. i'm guessing not.

How am I supposed to remember everything I bought and sold in a year?

I think I'll come back to this thread in a couple of weeks, once everything else is hear and do a what gear do I still have shot

who are you, and what did you do with Mystix?
:bigg:

I think I got the green Charvel Pro Mod this year--and the XTS Atomic Overdrive.
Hmmm... that's not very much stuff. I'm shirking my GAS duties.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeit.

I finished up some multi-year reshuffling and taste shifting stuff.

Sold a bunch of nonsense, including 1,000 pedals, my Les Paul, my Strat, my ASAT Special, a Mandocaster, and likely a few other things.

I purchased a number of pedals. Probably the Op Amp Muff has seen the most use, but there’s other stuff.

And I purchased...
